LOS ANGELES (AP) - D ick Clark, the ever-youthful television host and tireless entrepreneur who helped bring rock `n' roll into the mainstream on "American Bandstand," and later produced and hosted a vast range of programming from game shows to the New Year's Eve countdown from Times Square, has died. He was 82.

The man that never aged.

***No it isn't a typo in the title of the thread. Unfortunately for Mr. Clark his first name is filtered.

It's kind of weird to think of him not being around anymore.

And maybe there's something wrong with me, but I kind of laughed at having to filter-proof his name.

Just watch. One of the other mods will try and give me an infraction for filter skipping which is against the rules.

I remember 25 years ago, opining that he had done a deal with the devil to remain young forever.

He slashed the portrait in a fit of frenzy.
