Dror Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Mine is the rudeness of people using cell phones. Those that come into the store I work at...can't put the phone down long enough to conduct business. They have the audacity to give me looks as if I am the one interrupting their phone calls.Heh! Nine times out of ten when I see somebody driving like a maniac, they have a phone glued to their ear. When is our state legislature finally going to outlaw this? I've heard that cell phone use causes more accidents than drunk driving... Quote

Dr T Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 OK, PC, I'll tell you now, "be careful"-"don't bump your head." Quote
sixpacktr Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 **Mouth sounds (people chewing with their mouth open, people "snapping" their gum (mainly young girls with no sense at all)) (what, we're you born in a flippin' barn!) **Slow drivers in the fast lane and those that pull out in front of you and then drive SLOW! (they are more important than you, you know!) **People on cell phones, period. (Especially on an airplane and they yell their conversation into the phone. You only hear one side of the conversation and they don't give a fat frog's behind if they annoy you. In the business section they want, for the most part, to sound important. Rarely is any business happening.) **Driving into a fast food place, with little time, and it takes FOREVER to get a darn burger and fries! It is supposed to be fast food! **Teen girls driving. They spend too much time gabbing to pay attention. By far more dangerous than those hormone inflamed teen boys that just want to show off. **People that ask personal questions without really knowing you. They are just being nosy. (I'm pretty private, and don't share a lot, so this really irks me) That's enough. As you can tell, I'm pretty hard to get along with! Quote

Dr T Posted May 16, 2007 Report Posted May 16, 2007 I didn't know you were that tall PC. I barely made 6 ft. I called it "human height" growing up. Only a joke. Quote
Wingnut Posted March 17, 2010 Report Posted March 17, 2010 People who say "in lieu" of when they really mean "in light of" or because of" rather than "instead of." Example: "In lieu of St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd make green-coated brownie pops." (I just read that on a food blog.) Quote

They have the audacity to give me looks as if I am the one interrupting their phone calls. It really irks me when Spongebob tries and tries to get his boating license and Mrs. Puff cannot find it in her heart to give it to him. He wants one so badly, and he has studied and studied. He's a good kid; I think she should just give him the license. Quote

Maya Posted March 20, 2010 Report Posted March 20, 2010 I think mine has always been unrigiousness.... maybe that is why I met so much of it in my life. I just hate it when someone says I have not done what I should have or that I did somethig I should not have done... and they just dont check what is the truth! ... Well I hate to get critic too and cant handle that either. (I think it goes on the unrigious too.)But then again if a person does all he/she can to do a thing... I think it is wrong to critizise strongly... I can take critic that is given in a friendly way... but dont ask me what is a friendly way, I am a woman and the friendly way may alter each day My dhs problem... (poor guy!) Quote

Guest DeborahC Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 People who wear strong perfumes, colognes, after shave, scented fabric softeners, scented lotions to the point that I can not attend meetings unless I want to be in bed with flu-like symptoms for four days after Sunday... In one ward he attended the bishop was very accommodating, making sure his ward's members knew of his allergy. They agreed not to wear scents, which made it possible for him to attend church. He moved, and in the new ward, his allergies were dismissed and he could not attend.Perhaps you could bring it up to your bishop?Elphaba Quote
Elphaba Posted March 22, 2010 Report Posted March 22, 2010 (edited) Pet peeve: I've spent hours composing a biting post outlining every reason someone else is wrong, so much so that all of my detractors will be automatically persuaded I am right, only to have John Doe close the thread before I can post it!
