Manila Temple and Star Wars

This is meant tongue in cheek, so no one have a hissy fit.   Plus, I'm pretty sure God has watched Star Wars, though I don't know if he's a fan or not.  He never told me.

Anyway, here are some interesting coincidences concerning Star Wars and the Manila Temple.   See this timeline:

May 25 1977:  Star Wars released.

May 21 1980:  Empire Strikes Back released.

April 1 1981:  Manila Temple announced.

August 25 1982:  Groundbreaking of Manila Temple.

May 25 1983:  Return of the Jedi released.

September 25 1984:  Manila Temple Dedicated.  Manila Temple looks like an X Wing Fighter:

Also, LDS Living once had an article asking if Yoda was modeled after President Kimball (their article, not mine).  Kimball was prophet during the original Star Wars era.

That's awesome.

Slightly off topic-do you think the Disney releases have decreased Star Wars fandom or increased it?

I'm not overly fond of Star Wars but I have a child or two that seem a tad rabid about it.

I'd say they've decreased the number of people that are excited about Star Wars, just from looking at the profits they made from their First Movie (I think that was the Force Awakens) to their most recent movie (The Rise of Skywalker?).  Based on that, it would seem the crowd that paid to see Star Wars is perhaps around half of what it was several years ago?

Of course, perhaps the first movie had a LOT of people that went to see it over and over again and thus the people who watch Star Wars is largely the same, they just did not go and see the movie repeatedly like they did the first Disney Star Wars Movie.

Increased for suuuureee. Quadrupled it, if not more!
Based on tracking my collection and ebay sales, the demand is higher than ever. Every release is a huge spike in sales and valuation.
