I wanted to go on the last XFactor tour concert...or maybe the 1 before that, when Shayne Ward won...but didn't bother in the end, however I was lucky to attend a book signing by Shayne and me and my kids had our pixs taken with him...my daughter had tickets to his show in Manchester this year but was struck down with a bug and gave her ticket away...so we've never been to a real concert of the X Factor finalists yet...(Becki and Dan did see a small, 5 song, live show in the centre of Manchester tho...so at least they have seen him live a little).

I wasn't keen on having Rhydian in the competition at first because I wasn't sure how he would cope with the various genres, but I do agree that he's one of the best on there now!! :)

A friend sent this to me via email.

I cracked up!

Enjoy...

:animatedlol: What's even funnier is that it reminded me of our own Strawberry Fields. The comic looked just like her, and I know Strawberry is one to take care of every one else but herself, so I couldn't help but think of her as I listened to this. Very Very funny.

Donny Osmond - Close Every Door

I've pinched this from Elphie's signature...

I believe this is one of the most beautiful, saddest songs I've ever heard...I recall hearing that Andrew Lloyd Webber had the Jewish POWs in mind when he wrote the lyrics to this..particularly in the verse where he says 'Just give me a number instead of a name..'

Simply wonderful..

Close every door to me,

Hide all the world from me

Bar all the windows

And shut out the light

Do what you want with me,

Hate me and laugh at me

Darken my daytime

And toture my night

If my life were important I

Would ask will I live or die

But I know the answers lie

Far from this world

Close every door to me,

Keep those I love from me

Children of Israel

Are never alone

For I know I shall find

My own peace of mind

For I have been promised

A land of my own

Children

Close every door to me,

Hide all the world from me

Bar all the windows

And shut out the light

Joseph

Just give me a number

Instead of my name

Forget all about me

And let me decay

I do not matter,

I'm only one person

Destroy me completely

Then throw me away

If my life were important I

Would ask will I live or die

But I know the answers lie

Far from this world

Joseph, Ensemble & Children

Close every door to me,

Keep those I love from me

Children of Israel

Are never alone

For we know we shall find

Our own peace of mind

For we have been promised

A land of our own'

Lyrics: Close every door
