  1. I tend to graze. I usually eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast, which I bless... the rest of the day I will grab a handfull of nuts; a couple of crackers; a granola bar...so what I do is that first meal of the day, is bless "the food that I eat this day..." if I do have a sit-down meal later, I will give a blessing.
  2. LOL (I could not find the button )
  3. Thanks, Pam. I did look for it, but could not find it.
  4. A man didn't like his wife's cat and decided to get rid of the animal one day by driving it a few blocks from his home and leaving it at the park. As he was getting home, the cat was walking up the driveway. The next day he decided to drive the cat further away. He put the beast out and headed home. Driving back up his driveway, there was the cat! The man kept taking the cat further and further and the cat would always beat him home. At last he decided to drive a long, long way out of town, down a winding path of barely-used roads. Hours later the man called home to his wife: "Honey, is the cat there?" "Yes," the wife answered, "why do you ask?" Frustrated, the man replied, "Put him on the phone, I'm lost and need directions."

  7. A warthog hits this lady and the husband calls 911. The operator asks, "Where are you at"? The husband replies, "I'm on Eucolipstic Road." The operator asks, "Can you spell that for me?" "Well... I'll just drag her over to Oak, so can you pick her up there?" Ever wonder how blondes remember their Passwords? During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password: MickeyMinniePlutoHueyLouieDeweyDonaldGoofy When asked why such a big password, she said, "It had to be at least 8 characters long.
  8. Hello! :) Welcome to the site.
  9. I agree. I know there are more good people in the world, than there are evil ones. I, however, am not clairvoyant. I do not know where the abuser, pervert, raper, molester is going to be at any given time. So, I do not choose to throw my child out of a car, then drive away, as a form of punishment. I also do not see that choice as being over protective. LOL I wish you knew my children. They both are very bright, capable, confident, accomplished people. The 17 year old has flown, alone, to visit friends. He has spent several summers, in various states, on work/service projects. He is very excited about going on a Mission. (He wants to go to Japan ) So, do not assume that just because I would not choose throwing my children out of a car, as punishment, that I am guilty of over-protecting them to the point of stupidity, naivete, helplessness... incapable of functioning in society. Soooo not the case
  10. I have no problem teaching my children. However,I do not see throwing children, no matter the age, out of a car, as "teaching". I see it as punishing them for bad behavior, most likely done in anger. Not the way I would choose to "teach".
  11. (I have been accused (by family) of being over-protective....) SO.... I would not put my 17 year old son out on any street, anywhere, any time. There are just too many crazies out there. I can, more safely and effectively, take away computer privileges, cell phone time, television...all things that do not put him in any danger, but do let him know there are consequences to bad behavior. I would not confront another parent on their putting a teenager out of the car, I just think that there are other/better and safer options.
  12. There are so many other ways I can discipline my children, without putting them out on the street, to walk home. Unless I was following them in the car, there is no way I would put my child out. Who knows what deviant may be out there "hunting"?! Soooo not worth the risk.
  13. Hi Josh. Welcome to the site. There are a lot of interesting topics here, and even more interesting are the people
  14. Welcome back :) It will come back, like getting on a bike after years of not riding...there may be a bit of wobbling at first, then things will go smoothly;)
  15. Hello friedmann :) WELCOME! Thanks for sharing this journey you are on, with us. I look forward to hearing more. And, your English is just fine...
  16. Hi! :) Welcome to the site.
  17. Yes, showing concern/worry/sadness/anger,etc., over the unexpected and inexplicable disappearance, then death, of a small child is rather an insignificant thing. What was I thinking!?
  18. WOW! Amazing. I would not be driving in that
  19. How can she NOT be guilty of child endangerment? How do you lose a child for 31 days, and not report it, to anyone?!?! Not only do you not report it, you make up stories, tell lie upon lie, to account for her whereabouts. What possible explanation/excuse could one have for such behavior, except that the truth was much worse...
  20. That trial turned into Black vs White, but there were many Black people that thought he WAS guilty, but wanted him to go free, as a vindication of the many blacks that, for years, had not been given a fair shake. I have wondered how different their support of him would have been, even given his fame, if he had been on trial for the murder of a black wife.
