Pam, When I first joined soon after my computer crashed after I got a new one I tried to sign on over and over with no luck I then resigned up . So do I have another acount floating around????? I am just wondering.

Iggy you should get one I use it for my neck shoulder area and it is awesome.... I have chronici pain and it is the best tool in addition to my meds, exercise, etc. I wish I could go to a chiropractor they are awesome . Helped me alot but no insurance and no xtra money I will send my teenage kids who are busy in sports first. They go every year.... costs are worth it.

you both make good points..... ambey the AMA, the hospitals , The Dr's and Nurses and staff should start..... and well of course the Insurance Companies

oh my gosh you all are so cynical... So what is the answer..... Pale my husband was out of work we did not expect a handout or free ride from anyone we reduced and did without. We made it because his unemployment was decent if you can even say that about it. Now he is back to work and we still spend better and waste less because of the experience. We wil be even better prepared if it should happen again. Sadly during this time my daughter was in the emergency room twice. Unnecessary tests were made and charges that shouldn't have been there were because we do not have insurance. We essentially have to pay more because of not having insurance. I think Dr's shouldn't be able to run so many tests with out at least asking. My daughter is a virgin and was asked about her cycle which had just passed. They still ran a $ 120 pregnancy test. The Dr would not listen to me and sent her home with vicodin and said she had the flu. The next day I had to take her back but took her to the other hospital witch ordered the tests from the first hospital, actually listened to me and by this time my daughter was on IV therapy morphine and other meds to bring her infection , and violent stomach ills to a manageable level. This ER doc was awesome and did not run any unnecessary tests and even apologized that the other DR did such a lousy job. so we ended up with two Er bills in two days the second hospital dis give us a discount fot not having insurance. So to me a bit of regulation is necessary or mabey they need to do a bit of their own housecleaning. Again I see alot of critisism but do any of you have any answers???????? Pale it is so easy too be sarcastic about all this but what can be done??????? Prodigal Son, no I haven't read all the proposed bill.,...... I just know there has to be some change and why if it is so bad is the AMA backing the pres on healthcare reform???? The system as it is is full of greed and misuse and misappropriation of funds so whatis the answer... Do you have one????/ I would love to hear some ideas instead of all this bashing and just so you know I am not totally for the plan I just want to see some progress towards a better answer to something being done about the mess our health system is in.

Did anyone see the Presidents speech on this . I do nto think it is anything like you all are saying.... Reduce waste........ reduce un needed double testing......... insurance that is affordable....... subsities only for the ones who still can not pay. sounds good to me... I think anything to help this situation would be nice. So many here are so negative and are happy to complain but I see no other solutions offered.

oK in the mods defense he did not point out any one of you............ Sometimes these things escalate and he was trying to defuse the situation. Snow I do see your point but for many of us it is very cynical but you have that right. This world is ruled by freedom of choice and sometimes the results are very bad. I see that Snow. I also see in my life the power of God , of Prayer and of positive support. I know hearts can be softened and miracles can happen. If missing has just said I am trying to get a job and have some interviews I would appreciate your support I think you would find no fault in that. The power of God of our faith in him is unmesurable and some will be offended if you think prayer dosen't have any effect on a situation. In reading this whole thread I see all points of view. Her request was simple and should have stayed that way.

YOu know I wrote what I wrote because I have been in some very bad situations and I have learned while you may not see the light there is always one at the end and you just have to pray and hold on . Do what is right for you, in your heart after praying then you will be strong in the knowledge you did your best and honestly things will inprove if your and your parents are using all the resources available. I will pray xtra for you , breathe and remember to take care of yourself so you can be at your best for your children.

most of it isn't very supportive either Maureen. We have some very judgemental folks here. I think President Obama is trying and not doing a bad job. I watched his news conference yesterday and he made some very good points. I know my opinion isn't the popular one here but I think you have to give the guy a chance. The Senate and The House need to quit posturing and get to work. Forget the party garbage. Oh yes and we need to get rid of lobbyists..,...:}

I knwo it hurts your heart but you have to do what is right for them. You wil be blessed in the end. Your parents could help make a positive difference in your daughters life and its never forever. She may get better. And sounds like you have your hands full wiht your other two plus your still adjusting to being a single parent . Pray get a blessing. It will all get better.

I think the security guard was over-zealous ........ If they were walking through as was reported . I have read this thread and boy have some assumed more than what is reported. I have read all the news reports and read this thread. i think it is just getting blown out of porportion by all sides.

Pam you are right of course. We hardly ever use our insurance when we had it but have almost 3 thousand in emergency fees since we lost it. They were true emergencies. It is hard when it costs us almost 500 a month on insurance and we never use it then when it is lost due to lay off that is when we could have used it .

Why if our current system is so good is HMO's and insurance companys paying billons of dollars to fight any positive change ... because they are motivated by greed. They are looking at their profits instead of good health care , affordable healthcare. We have no insurance because it is too expensive.....
