from what i've read and heard, mary magdalene was NOT the prostitute that Jesus saved from being stoned. she was FROM magdalene, a town and had seven(?) demons cast out of her by Jesus. as for Jesus being married to her, lots of debate, but what the heck, lets fuel the flames, lol. according to LDS beliefs, to reach the celestial kingdom of heaven, you must be married, even as HF is married. does it make much sense that Jesus would be denied this highest kingdom of heaven, be part of the Godhead, and be there as a bachelor? does that somehow seem inconsistant?

welcome, greg. a former New York City guy here, formerly of arizona and now in florida....was a tenor sax player about a century ago....lol.

i am one of those people that is aware in dreams, so that i KNOW that i am dreaming and am usually aware of dreams within dreams...it's called lucid dreaming, i think. in my own research into dreaming i've learned that dreams are a reflection of what is happening in our lives, physically, emotionally and yes, spiritually. the "trick" is figuring out which is which, the nonsense from the inspirational. prayer and guidance from HF is the only way i was ever able to find out how to get a clue on that.

is this a political issue? is there some rule or other about politics on this site? is this another example of politicization of the church?

okay. you have some options as to different wards. i know that there are wards in all of the buroughs (towns) of NYC. there are also wards in new jersey just across the river fron NYC that are an easy commute to NYC. Burroughs of NYC are queens, brooklyn, staten island, manhattan. in new jersey.....hudson county, including north bergen, union city, weehawken, guttenberg, hoboken, jersey city......and out lying areas...seacaucus, fort lee, ridgefield park, edgewater, bayonne. you might ask your bishop or mission president how to get in touch with these communities. bergen county...fort lee, ridgefield park, and others that i cannot think of right now. good luck. i do so hope you will find something. i love NYC and i think you will love it too.

my dear sister, i am so sorry for that. realize, however, that EVERYBODY still has issues here. i do understand your angst.... how many times have i...and many, MANY more thought, if they only saw things the way i do... and then gratefully acknowledged that we don't know evrything and have a limited perspective. do you know anything about extroverts and introverts? these are personality types, but ONLY personality types. don't confuse them for spiritual awareness.

and, as it has ever been, spiritual politcs corrupts the truth so a few can attempt to control many. i mean, really....has NO ONE learned from history?

i believe, STRONGLY, if you believe what you choose to stand up for, feel confident that you will stand before HF and state with conviction that what you did was correct in your understanding of HF wishes, then by all means speak up...be couragious in what you believe. for some reason i believe that HF would prefer some comittment to some wishy-washy-........whatever. just my opinion. here's a clue........the name.....MY name.

btw....if you need a tenor sax player, kind of bluesy, rock-n-rolly, and sometimes cries when he plays, let me know. ah, crap...been WAY too long since i played....but you DO bring back memories.

i think i understand what you are saying. it can be a difficult thing to find musicians that can meld together into a band. personality issues....musical issues.......definately ego issues.......and each and every one of the band searching for themselves in their music.......and if they are not, how comitted to their music are they? on the other hand....if they seem to be primadonas, how comitted to being a member of a group for the glory of music, are they? so..perhaps you are learning something about leadership here, and diplomacy.

passion is a powerful force, whether it be for a woman's (or man's) love, or a political ajenda, or an approach to HF, as diverse as they may be, passion is a great spiritual tool, or our own downfall.

does thinking that someone's soul is revealed by their driving skills, or lack there of, count as being arrogant?
