Your wife did it the right way. You could use starch but I never did. Sometimes I use pins but not for simple hems. Its amazing what you can find on the internet. Does her school have sewing classes? Homemaking classes? If sewing is something your daughter wants to do your wife might actually be interested in teaching her. Or did you already say she doesnt? Anyway you could also check the material shops out in your area. Many of them have sewing classes, maybe even for free since it helps their business. Heres one link to online sewing help. They have something wrong with them and could use some help understanding why. Oddly one had a tumor that when it was removed she became a very neat housekeeper. Doubt your wife has that! The point remains that she has something wrong going on.

Good luck with the pedi! Some babies just cry. Hope that is all thats going on with yours. Still trust your instinct. If you think something is up dont hesitate to push your pedi. A lot if necessary. Oh and dont forget she might benefit from a blessing :)

This reminds me of that awful womens football league. I have seen it a few times changing channels and it is just ridiculous. Nothing wrong with women playing football. Its the crazy uniforms that are wrong. Just wrong.

It might pay to see a counselor and ask them what might be the problem and how you could deal with it. Have you tried to help her feel self worth? I am going to bet she hates herself and feels like a failure. Perhaps you can involve her in small things like helping to move something. Just get her involved with you and the kids. And dont criticize. Something is wrong. And it really isnt the housework. Honestly in reading your posts I see someone who is very very organized to the point of obsession. Maybe even, yikes, controlling. If I were her, I would hide in the bedroom too.

It is very obvious that people even in the church have very different ideas as to what is ok and what is not. I see nothing wrong with things like doctor/nurse even if I never have done that. A lot depends on if you regard sex as serious business or fun. Even though it is for serious purposes, to me, I am not much for making it serious business.

I am so sorry for the things you went through. It has to be hard to deal with your mom especially every day. To be honest I couldnt do it. It helps me a lot to know the people that hurt my husband are dead now. Mean of me but its true. I spend time every morning convincing him as he is waking up that was in the past and they are all gone. You are a nice person. Very worthwhile. Add this little part to your healing process. You cheer me up even though you dont have to. My problems are not yours to solve but you still care and that makes you a great person in my book and, more importantly in Gods book. Very well said again. For my husband he blocked so much and just doesnt remember at all. Occasionally the memories come back in nightmares, or flashbacks. He doesnt remember the flashbacks until he is able to deal with that particular memory. There is no way to describe how it feels to hear what happened to him from seeing and hearing him relive it. It makes me cry and want to strangle every abuser out there. It was bad enough they lived through it once but to have to relive it over and over throughout their lives is just .. well there are no words. I wish I could feel more forgiveness and I try but I am not there by a long way yet.
