Just for confusions sake. Mists of darkness could be considered as an atmospheric river? Thus two rivers…

I like that the water is knowledge, when it exits the fountain it is pure and wholesome. But then it gets polluted with lies and dis-information. The glory of God is intelligence D&C 93:36 So in a sense knowledge and intelligence is a representation of Gods love. This interpretation makes much more sense to me.

I mean, can we not start fights in this particular location. Anywhere else in the world is kool.

FWIW - that is one of the main reasons I go to the temple. So I can learn something new. If I sit thru an endowment session and didn’t learn something new - bad on me. And most of the learning is symbolic. I always share my thoughts with my wife and ask her is she had any insight or personal revelation. And just because I got some personal revelation dosent mean it has to be true for my wife and vice versa. But we are usually insync. Something that may be precious to me might be ho-hum for her though, and vice-versa. If we go with family or friends we do the same thing. If I had a son censure me in the temple, I’d let him know that he does not have to listen - but if anyone else is interested they are welcome to stay. I am not about to argue in the temple.

Nope, sounds like someone’s personal policy that they want you to adhere to. We don’t do that. It’s obvious what we are not allowed to talk about outside the temple. Inside the Temple we can talk about anything, especially with family in the celestial room. Especially if you are the patriarch.

The War in Israel may be at it's end.

Israel has hacked into Lebanon’s public service announcement system and is sending messages via phone and radio to warn the Lebanon public to flee areas where Hezbollah is storing weapons etc. Al Jazeera is calling it psychological warfare. Air strikes are taking place in Trye now. Tyre happens to be quite a world heritage site. Also - Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps have been ordered to stop using communication devices, Reuters reported on Monday. The regime has begun investigating Israeli infiltration into its ranks, including mid-level and high-level officials. "This includes scrutiny of their bank accounts both in Iran and abroad, as well as their travel history and that of their families," a security official told Reuters. -
Revelations 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Religious significance: The Bible foretells that a great battle between good and evil will take place in the Jezreel Valley at a place called Armageddon, which is a corruption of the Hebrew phrase "Har Megiddo" meaning "Mount Megiddo". Tel Megiddo National Park A little too close for comfort…

The rhetoric coming from Israel’s enemies is absurd. The most recent guided strike in a Beirut suburb did kill 37 people. They keep using words like indiscriminate, women, children, and civilians. The Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh told Al Jazeera Arabic that the bombing of a residential building constituted a “war crime” and that Israel was “dragging the region into a war”. This is Israel’s response. Oh yeah, and this: White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa Brett McGurk: “We fully stand with Israel in their defense of their people and their territory against Hezbollah. And I have to say, Ibrahim Akil, who was killed today, was responsible for the Beirut Barracks and Embassy bombing 40 years ago. So nobody sheds a tear for him." -
We love conference. Gonna try Rash Hashanah meal on the 2nd maybe 3rd of the month. Changing of the seasons. Gotta get some pumpkins. Every conference we get to keep the current senior apostles is joyous. Lots of experience, humility, and knowledge to share. Likely we will get instruction to vote accordingly. Although I’m not excited about our choices. Wonder if there will be any commentary about the war in Israel or Ukraine. Or secret lives of Mormon wives. Lots more temples I’m sure. Maybe one close to me.

Yup, and if the records are lost. It all has to be done again. This happed a few times in the early modern church. And sometimes in the early church people were re-baptized if they needed healing. Yes we are particular about the process now.
-
Nah, circumstances change. Adam was married to Eve in the Garden before he was even taught the gospel. His baptism didn’t take place till Moses 6:64 Before the atonement there was burnt offerings then we changed to the sacrament. Today’s temples are vastly different then the temple that Solomon built.

I agree. 3 Ne 5 could be labeled Words of Mormon chapter 2. Mormon stops the history and inserts personal commentaries. I like to imagine what was going through Alma the Elder’s mind and heart while he was listening to Abinadi. On review of his actions and beliefs it is obvious that Alma the Elder knew that he had made a huge mistake by uniting himself with King Noah and the remainder of his priests. In Mosiah 18:12-14 we see that Alma the Elder knew that he still had the priesthood even though his prior actions and beliefs had been wrong (possibly thought that he deserved disfellowship at some point). Anyway when Alma baptizes Helam, he is overcome by the spirit and recognizes that he is forgiven. He also modifies the baptismal ordinance and buries himself which is curious. He likely had been baptized previously but felt the need to re-perform the ordinance. Kind of like what we do now with members that have been excommunicated and then receive restoration of blessings. It was not a true apostasy but darn close. The priesthood remained although the vessels was partially corrupt. Still happens today. If you look at many of the members Priesthood line of Authority you can see that some of the lines contain people that were apostate and later ex-communicated. It’s probable that that member was unworthy while confirming the priesthood - doesn't matter.

Yup. Israel believes in the sanctity of life. The psychological damage from this attack is likely devastating. Hassan Nasrallah is reportedly planning a 5 PM response tomorrow. -

This morning a second wave of explosions. This time walkie-talkies. Much larger devices. The number of injuries are crazy. Not including the new attack. 500 people lost at least one eye 500 lost at least one finger. Ophthalmologist rarely ever have emergency situations. I’ve taken care of 2 pipe bomb hand injuries. Bloody mess. Both occurred on a July 3rd. Hours and hours of surgery. They don’t have enough Hand Surgeons in Lebanon to take care of this. -

From i24 News “The Israeli Mossad is responsible for the massive attack on Hezbollah pagers on Tuesday, according to a report in Sky News Arabic channel. Israel's international spy agency reportedly planted explosive materials in the devices before they reached the hands of Hezbollah operatives. According to the report, the institution inserted PETN (pentaerythritol tetranitrate) explosive into the devices' batteries and then detonated them by raising the batteries' temperatures to a level that was enough to cause the devices to explode. The material combusts at 180 degrees Celsius (356 Fahrenheit). An Al Jazeera report, citing a Lebanese security source, claimed that the communication devices were rigged in advance and brought to Lebanon five months ago. The explosive charge weighed no more than 20 grams, less than an ounces.” Israel is not messing around. This was a clean, complex operation. Planned well in advance. They have a think tank, probably with multiple sticks in the fire. Masterful attack. Now Hezbollah leadership is in disarray. Their communication network has been compromised. They are afraid to use cellphones. And they know that Mossad has already infiltrated their hierarchy. I sure am glad that we are currently allies. -
