I’m starting to feel the momentum. I wonder what kinds of last minute surprises are in store for the next few weeks. I saw that the whole Pittsburgh Steelers crowd was chanting USA with Trump @ the Jets game. Trump is busy and Kamala is taking the day off. I know some liberals that are going to be very, VERY disappointed. Looks like republicans have a good chance to take the Senate too. The House looks like democrats will win at the moment, but if the current momentum continues anything can happen.

It is hard to put forth effort and provide service for others when they don’t change or show appreciation. Today I will do a below knee amputation on a patient that I already wasted 2 surgeries on. I cut off half her foot last month and the big toe the month prior. Her noncompliance and neglect has ruined my hard work and wasted $100,000 -200,000 of government funds. I suspect that she will ruin today’s surgery as well. I have educated and warned her multiple times. She is a diabetic, has bipolar disease and has issues with poly-substance abuse, and gangrene. But then again, I look at the atonement. Christ went through Gethsemane and Golgotha. There is no indication that anyone other than God, the Holy Ghost and the angel that strengthened him even knew what he was doing. The people who he was saving denied, reviled and assaulted him during the process. And the amount of people that take advantage of his atonement by repenting and following seem to be a paltry minority. I routinely thank him, and try to do my best to follow his recommendations. We can at least let Him know his work is appreciated. You are in good company Carb. It’s good practice. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for all the responses. I’m not anxious. I’m not looking for spiritual confirmation. I consult the Lord on issues like: should I take this job, should I move, is this the right surgery for this patient? etc. I would never seek celestial counsel on betting on a blackjack, a football team, or a specific stock. What I’m wondering is if y’all feel uneasy about: our government elections, the prospect of worsening wars in the world, the national debt, BYU football undefeated record?

We had a big fire in town and 2 other families spent the night in our home while they were displaced. They both prayed that their homes would be spared. One home had some mild smoke and fire damage to the stuff in the yard. The other family’s home was torched. The torched home family received a $1M insurance check and all kinds of blessings. The family with the smoke damage lost a load of money with the clean-up and sale of their home. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

I can’t bring myself to pray for financial guidance playing the stock market…

Im not panicking just trying to be proactive. Saw my stocks drop 35% with housing market crash. And 20% with the start of the war in Ukraine. The COVID scare also dropped it 15%. I was just wondering if anyone else here feels impending doom.

I have a small nest egg in the stock market and am considering taking my funds out of the market and placing them into something more stable. My concerns: 1) Current US election madness and possibility of unrest after the election. 2) Israel planning to retaliate soon with Iran. Nuclear facilities, Oil fields etc. Outbreak of nastier middle east war. And if US troops are heavily sent to calm things down. Putin and China may become emboldened. I have played the game RISK, I know how this goes. 3) USA has no financial support system for natural catastrophes. We are so far in debt that we have no reserves 4) Global warming - It felt like summer lasted till last week here in CA. 5) BYU is 6-0 and looking strong. This is when we usually fall apart. 🤞🏻

Not sure if I trust this source. Milton didn’t produce any electricity other than static electricity in the form of lightning. It released a bunch of energy and produced a whole lot of undesirable work.
