You only need to read the first one. It's worth it as a stand alone. I stalled out on the 3rd or 4th book. The subsequent books were a lesser quality. He does describe, on one of his blogs, that he saw the concept of blood metal and endowments in a vision. I recommend the first book. The second was ok. I lost interest after that. He’s doing way better than Patrick Rothfuss… Still waiting on book 3. The Name of the Wind came out in 2008 for crying out loud.

I think that the best way to teach is to have a broad knowledge base from reading / experiencing many sources. But then spending a majority of resources with the scriptures / recent conference talks. And allowing the Holy Ghost to guide. It would be optimal if we all had great teachers… Unfortunately this does not always happen.

Been driving me crazy. Last week I gave the 5th Sunday lesson. The Bishop asked that I give a talk on, back to the basics. I told a story about me stopping on the side of the highway in Georgia in the 90's and experiencing a ripe peach. Best peach I ever had (BY FAR), I ended up buying 10-12 and I finished about half-a-dozen while on a drive to an appointment. I had to change my shirt and tie because I had dripped juice all over them. The aroma and taste were unforgettable. Yet on other occasions I have purchased peaches from the local grocery store wherein I had hoped for a Georgia Peach, and what I got was a lame, scent free, woody 'fruit' that could not ripen on the counter and was only good for ammunition. There is also the option of George Peach Cobbler Oreo TM cookies. I also threw in the possibility of a pleasing defect free plastic fruit. I then compared those peaches to material that we study. Years ago I stumbled on a concept of Levels of Evidence which was a guide to explain how to decipher if a medical study was reliable or not. Anyway I applied that concept to Gospel material and this is what I came up with. The scriptures and Liahona are free. I dont have to buy a book or go onto YouTube to watch a podcast. Also, which materials do you find in the Temple?! Then one of the members stated that they loved listening to podcast and appreciated the material presented. I asked, why would you want to eat pre-digested food? There was a pause. I shared my testimony that nothing can compare to the raw information that is avaliable within the scriptures. When we let others spoon feed us information, we lose the chance of discovery and inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

The sealed 2/3 portion is likely the most correct book ever written. And contains the fulness of the Gospel. Ether 4:4-7 Ether 12:23-26 AND The Book of Mormon was translated into English by the power of God. Not by a computer or team of linguists. If there were any errors in inscription, God could have easily made adjustments.

I don’t think the room temp superconductor will be viable in the immediate future. But if this LK-99 is even a small breakthrough then it may be possible within the decade. If so, I think we will have fusion reactors before we replace the national electric grid. The amount of materials required to replace the grid would probably be equivalent to providing every US citizen with a person quantum computer. It would be better spent on phones, batteries, computers, etc.

Im not even sure how stable or useful that current superconductors are in scientific application. As far as I know, there are not superconductors on the JWST and that would obviously be a perfect location to place one.

This reminds me of the race to be the first to get credit for flight. The Wright bros won in our opinion, but lots of teams were working on it @ the same time. And similar to to how calculus was discovered independently in the late 17th century by two great mathematicians: Isaac Newton and Gottfried Leibniz. The Holy Ghost no doubt has inspired mankind with many discoveries. This may be another radical step.

Im pretty excited. AI is way over performing all of our expectations. Our knowledge of genetics is getting to the level where we can probably start helping humanity (although all the Doctor Evil’s out there may cause some great harm). If we do achieve an inexpensive room temperature and pressure superconductor, humanity will change drastically. We will move on from the information age, and the options will be limited by our imagination. I’ll be able to use a MRI in my clinic and the super quantum computers will be able to reconstruct images in real time. Transportation, fusion reactors, electric grids. I’m looking forward to the future. My children are going to have some exciting lives. What a time to live.

Elohim is the Architect and Jehovah is a carpenter. My current appreciation is that Elohim Provided Jehovah with the blueprints for this Universe. But in a prior iteration Elohim was a carpenter. In a future iteration Jehovah will be the Architect.

Not sure either way. But Im currently leaning toward Christ creating the Universe as we know it. The temple narrative and slide show led me to this conclusion. Our sun is metal rich thus at least a 2nd generation, possibly 3rd generation star. It takes alot of organization to create a planet with materials like Gold and Uranium.
