This is what is on my profile... ABOUT ME I like Happy People! I can't stand a "Self-Righteous-Mormon" or people who are negative and looking to catch people doing wrong. Tolerance is a Virtue! Did I say I like Happy People? I live in Utah and I have had my share of "Self-Righteous-Mormons". I don't think that people who put down others for not being as good as them or who judge others because they think they are better in one area of the gospel than another are living a Christ Like Life at all. We have been taught over and over to be loving and kind yet so many times we miss the mark completely and for the wrong reasons. Maybe it's because of my upbringing and having parents who were less active and judged for that that I strive to help those who really need help. We don't get ahead by stepping on one another, we get ahead with the help of everyone. Hugs, SF

Friendship is a two way street if it isn't working then why force it? I try to remember that we can not change the actions of another person only the way we process it.

My father was also a Navy Man. He passed away four weeks ago and I was presented his flag following the Military Honors along with gun statue. He was very proud of his military service. Thank you for sharing your video from YouTube as well. I appreciate all of the men and women who serve.

Another thing I have found to be very helpful is getting enough good sleep. Sleep is when our body repairs it's self and I have noticed a drop in sizes since I have been takeing better care of myself and getting GOOD REST.

I agree. :) Miracles happen all of the time and those in tune with the spirit will aide in them coming to pass.

Interesting thread Checker and it causes me to think back, way back in time. I think for my father who for all of those years was so focused on building and making a home for his family. About the time I had my first child I saw him soften and he went gaga over my son. I think some of it is a survivorship of sorts and much has to do with pride. Pride affects both men and women.

I am not sure I would take any drug that would not make me feel better in same way. It may sound selfish, but if you don't have your health then your life is compromised IMO. Before my father passed away, and he had terminal cancer, that is when they offered him to participate in a clinical trial. The way it worked is that some were given the real trial med combination and others a placebo.

SweetieLaurel, If you are still here I would like the share something I am also a mother of older children. I believe sometimes in the church there is a lot of competition among parents to have the perfect child, to do the things in order and in a timely manner. Could it be that she is receiving pressure from someone else for you to get this blessing now? Could it be that she knows that you are doing fine right now and making the right choices BUT there will be temptations before you and she will not always be right by your side? I believe most of all parents want to protect their children and a PB has blessings in which you can attain if you are true and faithful. This could be something that she feels will be an additional piece of armor to protect you in the next few years. I could be way off but I thought I would share this. Hugs, SF
