I have the most respect for true missionaries who would continue to work in converting the saints through their example and testimonies. At the time many young women and young men come home from their missions there is still plenty of missionary work that can be done. I believe that if they can reconnect with their peers both active and inactive much good can happen. The feelings given out to their friends just needs to be genuine.

Since I first read this last week I have thought about it many times. I thank you for making this so clear and simple.:)

Could you be suffering from panic attacks? I like the idea of the books mentioned and looking to see what the underlining sorce could be.

I don't think I could go without a/c...well without a lot of complaining. I like going to Sonic Drive In during "happy hour" which is 2-4 here and all of the drinks and slushes are 50% off. Another thing that is starting to happen here is a 4 day work week... maybe I should look into it... naw:p

The bigger question here is why your in laws don't just take them in. Take the money like Misshalfway said. If this girl can't afford the rent maybe you can change the contract to cover just the roof over her head and let her deal with the food etc. Maybe she would be up to earning the roof over her head in other ways like housekeeping or yard work. :) Another thing that occurred to me is the way they were brought up... If she gets away with a free ride by manipulation and your hubby backs down quickly maybe you can see why they behave this way by looking back into their childhoods. We did have my brother in law live with us for a time but he paid rent and was responsible for his own 'supplies'. He always paid the rent.

Congrads!! I remember this time in my life well. I was afraid the have my second child because I didn't know if I had that much more love to give after falling so hard for my first child. I was happy to see that the love just keeps flowing over and over again. :)

Thanks for posting these pictures. I would love to get up tot he roof of the Conf. Center again. When I was serving in the Young Women we were lucky enough to go up and help plant a section of the roof. I love plants and gardening so it would be fun to go check it out now. :)

We have Central Air and we have turned our temp up to 74 from 72 or 73 in past years. I have also heard something about closing off our upstairs cold air returns (we have a rambler) to have the cooler air sucked from the basement... We have not tried that one yet.

A young man I know was called to an area where he and his group had very few baptisms while he was on his mission. I told him not to be so sad and that I felt he still had the ability to convert many people to the gospel through his caring and love towards others. I have now seen his work in action and I am very pleased.

It seems everyone is looking for ways to save here and there. I thought that maybe we could share some ways this economic condition has caused you to re-evaluate the way you spend your money. 1. People I have spoken to have told me that they are now driving slower to save gas. 2. I have tried to use my dishwasher at non peak hours (night time).

I will look into VOIP. We are already paying about 170.00 for cable TV and Internet combined. I guess if I call my cable company they would be glad to get me set up. I appreciate all of your good advice.:)

Okay I have given this some thought and wondered if I might be able to take my home phone number and add it with a phone to our family cell phone plan....

This is something I have been thinking about a lot lately and I have read the replies. When I first saw the topic I was thinking someone must have ratted me out. I am guilty of not having a calling for quite sometime. I have taken this to the Lord and I know this will not be a forever thing. I feel some guilt for not currently holding an official calling but not enough to add more pressure to my life right now. I have been able to have confirmation that my decision is right for me at this time.

One thing that can be considered natural therapy is to turn up some music and dance. I also like music in general to lift my spirits. Something else that makes me SEE if I have had a good day is to write stuff down and cross it off.:) Be patient with yourself and know that nobody is perfect.... at least who is still on this earth. Most of my family is buried in Utah so I can upon this website which helps locate them. Burials & Cemeteries Database

It also helps to have a map of the cemetery before you go looking. Sometimes you can find them online or at the office there.

OH THANKS!! I took my son with me to the last cemetary and had him sweep off the graves (dead grass) before I took the pictures. I went to four cemeteries that day and took Elphies broom with me lol. Don't tell her though she might want it back!

Thanks! I see some really good information here now I just need to get the courage up to call them. I will know that they will try to talk me out of the disconnect but I am tired of paying for something that we don't use. Times are changing for sure we just quit our newspaper a few months ago and I haven't regretted that at all. The internet has the news on it and I hate wasting money and trees on something we just recycle.
