  1. Hello Patty, Welcome to LDS.Net. :)
  2. Well I would love to learn more about her and the things she endured as a wife of Joseph Smith.
  3. I will wait for it to come out on DVD, then rent it from redbox it will only cost me a buck.
  4. I stopped by it looks good so far.:)
  5. Hello Corey and Welcome!!!:)
  6. As I have said before we have been commanded NOT to kill. I can't see myself killing someone. If I killed someone in an accident it would be terrible.
  7. Oh my heart goes out to you. I understand most of what you are saying except for not wearing garments. When you first go through the temple you are taught of the importance of them. Tithing is a principle of faith. We don't usually pay tithing because it is something we can afford. I would suggest wearing your garments as you were instructed to do so. Take on one thing at a time. Pray, and take the sacrament each week. Be kind to yourself. Don't beat yourself up for the things you are not doing pat yourself on the back for the things you are doing.
  8. Hey I checked out your site, good job.:) I think it is still important to interact with adults even if you do play groups or something. One thing that worked well is I found a mom in our ward that we traded weekly babysitting with for 2-3 hour time span. I usually went shopping for groceries. Welcome to the site.
  9. I thought this could be a forum where we could discuss the "meat" of the church. In another thread someone was saying that people when they are first being taught the gospel are not ready for the meat only the milk and maybe even fat free milk? I hope we are coming into an age where the church and its teachings can endure the storms. I don't want to talk about things that hurt people testimonies just the facts we are all asked and sometimes we don't know and need to stumble or refer them to the local leader.... We are living in the information age and yes people have the ability to do their own research but why not have a forum where these things can be discussed in a open respectful manner? Maybe the open forum is a better idea. Are we ready for such knowledge here at LDS.Net?
  10. I have not started to read the book yet but my visiting teachers said that they heard that it wasn't as good as the other three either. My words are if something isn't broken don't fix it. I hope I am not disappointed.

    recipe ideas

I am excited to try some of these recipes! If you have tried them let's report on them okay
  12. So based on what HiJolly said maybe I will just rent the DVD and not buy it.:)
  13. They are all good responses. :) To the youth who might be struggling with some rules, maybe if you first prove that you are responsible and your responsibility will continue to grow.:)
  14. These are very mature statements.:)
  15. Has anyone seen the movie about Emma Smith that was released in April 2008? I missed it in theaters so I will wait for the DVD.
  16. That is wonderful news. I hope you make some nice friends here like I have.
  17. It's great to meet you.:)
  18. My kids are almost grown, full grown if you asked them lol. In looking back I wonder if I got too involved in helping chose friends or maybe not enough. What I tried to do was to let them chose and then tried to help them see the facts behind their choices. Would you like your parents more involved or less involved and why.
  19. There have been quite a few threads about why people go inactive or possibly even leave the church. I think that there are plenty of members of this site who have had personal experience with this and they are coming back. Just for the record, I don't much like the word inactive or less active but how else do you describe it? What makes us become Inactive? A wise friend once told me that we are each vulrenable to becoming inactive. Her words are kinda like this. "The active person is one day away from becoming inactive. The inactive are a day away from becoming active." What do you think, does it happen like that?
  20. Could it be that you are just numb to those feelings. You might consider taking a little vacation with your hubby see if you can remember why you married him in the first place. I think we sometimes just take each other for granted and the grass is not greener on the other side. Many people I have spoken to about their divorce have thought that they made a mistake a few years later. Pray for the answers you need.
  21. Good Job LM! You must really get around. :)
  22. Life is interesting. We can never choose the actions that people inflict upon us, only the reactions we give unto those actions. StrawberryFields
  23. I loved reading about your dream especially this part above. I think we might sometimes forget that our children are actually our brothers and sisters. :)
