  1. I think it's on an individual basis MOE! It would be silly to group people according to where they live their religion don't you think?
  2. I Love living in Utah so much we take advantage of all of it. We have a Country Place, A City Retreat, A Mountain Cabin and A Desert Oasis. BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED.:)
  3. Why would you mis-lead people that way Pale? YOU don't live in UTAH!!!
  4. LOL!!!!!!!!! Checker maybe you should have that in your signiture:D BTW, Have you seen the "Sarcastic Thread"?
  5. I have shopped Newport News for years and they carry suits for tall people. It could be that you have a long wasit if you are having these problems and are not especially tall. Another option to having your bottom hanging out is to wear shorts over your bathing suit.
  6. Okay I am more than halfway through this book.... wow a little different than I expected... I hope to finish the book in the next few days.
  7. I agree with most of what has been said above. I think that the general need for a guy when it comes to women is to fix it, whatever the problem may be. If the can't fix it they basically malfunction and shut down, get angry, or "disappear". I think it is a smart woman who can recognize this and say I just need you to listen this time and not try to fix it. I think after being married for years and years (more than 10) you learn so much from trial and error. I would never want to start all over with another man. It has taken years to get mine to fit just right.:)
  8. I live in Utah and have done so most of my life.
  9. I am so happy for you and your family! I also think she was on time for you to be able to take her home so soon.:) I hope we can see pictures soon.
  10. The person who can do the most about it is the 'sinner' or one who committed the crime. You mentioned dishonesty and people can represent anything to anyone online. Last night I was watching a news show about Charles Manson. He is one scary person and he was able to get followers left and right and many of them are women. Just know that we all have reason to be cautious. The other day I was in chat and a 'guy' came in and asked for my name. I said StrawberryFields and he said that isn't a name and continued that he would go on to find someone more forthright. I wished him luck with that and he got a lil miffed. I said all you will get from me is StrawberryFields, SF, Berry, Fields, or maybe Strawberry. Seriously, go with your gut; if you feel like you are being pushed in anyway just walk away so to speak. :)
  11. Interesting. Just a few days ago I felt prompted to make a post in the internet safety thread about this topic. Ilovemykids, If you know the specific person and they are on this site why would you not say who it is? Maybe you could tell the crime this person committed. If you worried about the safety of members here maybe a heads up or warning about a general behavior of this personcould be helpful?
  12. This is really a funny thread. I loved Iggy's diaper washing instructions... we got away with disposable diapers but I remember my mom doing that stuff with diapers for my brother. I have always used the powder tide bc if I ever switched hubby got a rash and I got to deal with hubby. A few weeks ago we stayed up to the cabin and my sister in law had washed the sheets. I called her up to see what she had used bc they smelled so great. She had used liquid tide with the green lid.... guess what I am going to try next? It is true that our memories are tied to smell. Some are good and so are... not.
  13. Okay I need to warn you now that I have promoted this... it is addicting so stay away. I didn't know this before.... really I didn't:D
  14. What an intersting story. I hope you like it here and find many friends.:)
  15. Hello Kevin, WELCOME to LDS.NET, I hope you enjoy it here. I can't remember when I read such a long thread from start to finish.... Oh and the things I learned. Glad to have you here.:)
  16. Is that your mother standing next to you? She looks very young.:)
  17. This was a great read, thanks for sharing.:)
  18. What a great thread!:) I think it would be great to post some of our projects. I have been a crafter most of my life and I get that love and desire from my grandmothers I believe. I even have a "craft room" filled with sewing projects, mainly quilt kits etc. In that room I also have loads of scrap booking materials. In the past month I have taken a real liking to jewelry making and have all kinds of beads and findings on their way here which I have just purchased from Etsy and Ebay. If I get good enough and creative enough I may consider selling some of my creations on Etsy. What really made me happy is that my daughter actually took ownership on one of my first projects. Listener, in order to post a picture I believe you need to take a digital picture and post it to a place on the web like photo bucket. Maybe someone who does this can give us good instructions.:)
  19. I think it's important to be an involved parent, know your children and let them know they can come to you now matter what the subject is. When you hear something that might shock you keep a level head and ask them how they feel about it. Do more listening and less fault-finding. If you suspect a problem go to them and ask. If you feel that there is something more you need to know go to the measures you need. I have always believed that I could trust my kids until I had a reason not to trust them, gaining trust back was not as easy for me as their father. Parenting is not easy and all three of my children have different needs but I got to where I could read them. Allowing them to make some of their own mistakes was about the hardest thing I ever did. I figured that if they made smaller mistakes and learned from them while still under my care they were not mistakes at all only learning experiences.
  20. WOW!!! You take some great pictures!!!:)
  21. Thanks, I really loved it too.
  22. So like Hey, did you ge t a do DOO? I wanna see.
  23. Long OP Elphie but for you I read it. I am very happy that you are here. Knowing you has made my life better. I will be the first one to admit that I didn't like you at first. I thought that you were evil. But now knowing you as well as I do, I can say I Love You and mean it. I am so glad you took down that picture of the witch you had when you first signed on as Elphaba it was scary! I have watched you bloom over the past year you have been here and I believe that you are one of the more respected people at this site. :)
  24. Well this happened in grade school. The girls bathroom was right by the six grades "pod" and it was always hot so the windows were left open even in winter. The boys were making snowballs and throwing them inside through the window. To get them back we dumped the trash bucket out, filled it up with cold water, and dumped it out on the unsuspecting targets!!!! We got them good, but in the end we all did time in the principals office.
  25. Congrads to "T" and family!!!! I wanna see a picture, you have the best looking kids.
