I don't usually do this but I have read each reply in this thread. I find this topic very interesting as I have polygamist ancestors that I am currently learning more about. I plan on reading two of the books recommended and maybe if a bunch of us read them there can be a thread man up to discuss them. I find that the people who have commented on this thread to be quite respectful of a difficult topic. There has recently been a forum formed for "Church History" if you are interested I would like to learn more. As I have said before I believe that with this age of information we are in (via the internet) we will have many more people become interested in all aspects of our gospel.

I have a good friend who has remarried to a man with kids. Her kids prefer to be at their dad so they don't need to contend with her new husband. When I first what you had written about the incident with your son tonight I thought of her. She really struggles to feel important to him and his kids come first. His children are all older much like yours are. Could it happen that you just take care of discipline matters with your son and he only deals with him in pleasant times?

As you can see by my replies to this thread it doesn't take a lot of money to appear romantic. I even like it when my hubby buys me some flowers... the kind to plant in my flowerbeds. I am way to practical to have the cut flowers given to me very often.

When I have seen the movies they seem to confess of much smaller sins than we actually do, that is what I meant. I thought that it might be good for us to think of the little things more often. :)

This is an interesting concept. I have never been a catholic and so I have only seen things from movies about this. I think that it may be nice to have it like that. I think we may confess to sins that don't ever require a "Bishops Confession"

I really like acts of service. I love it when hubby makes dinner and cleans up. I usually help him clean up though, things like that you be more fun when doing it together. :)

Another thing. When I am just about to get out of the shower and I find him waiting with a warm towel just out of the dryer.:)

If it's about safty issues I always try to do what I am told...

There is a wonderful thread from hethathathears about being hungry for romance. What I thought was so wonderful about it was that he recognized it was a problem, talked to his wife, and then fixed it.:) Communication is very important in a relationship. What do you find romantic? I love it when my husband comes to me for a kiss.

I think it can be all about networking. Ask people around you if they know anyone LDS. I think you really need to form a friendship with someone first and I believe that there are many members where you live. I agree keep coming here and posting you may just find someone in your town here.
