I can understand being sealed to a member wife of a non member husband somewhat. I would not understand if relations were also involved.

That it would be a correct principle period would amaze me.

I have heard this trying your hardest statement many times. If I was going to say something similar, I would say "I try hard and sometimes it takes all my effort". Perhaps it all means the same thing.

I've heard the odd thing said in general conference that in my mind dosen't quite agree with what I've been previously taught. I might have to read all day before I come across something questionable. I find not to be a problem.

I think we all understood very well what was going on in the premortal life. To think God would send anyone of his children to a place of extreme misery without a huge degree of knowing whats happening just would not happen. As to why this son of morning rebelled....pride goeth before the fall.

The word or thought of hell has different meanings in relation to our final state. Hell can be referred to as any place other then living in the presence of our Father in heaven, in which case there would be many going to hell. The church teaches about three different degree's of glory, two of which are not in the presence of the Father. I myself don't refer these other places as being hell. What I usually refer hell to be is the place that has no glory called outer darkness, of which very few will find.

Sorry Milkbone, I just read the article. A very good expansion of what I was looking for.

Now what does that have to do with Hell? The reason why I believe that Jesus spoke on Hell more than anyone else is... in His divinity, His Godhood, He was the only one who could truly grasp the terror of it. I tend to agree with that.

Talking of the final state called outer darkness is reserved for only a very few. We are told that no one will have an understanding of it accept those that end up there. Denying the Holy Ghost once he has been a part of you are apparently the only ones that end up there.

It will take a little time but I will see if I can find them. One thing tho. I have no idea why Moroni would say anything at all concerning any mistakes of man in the record if there were none. Do you remember reading anywhere in BOM where it says those who are liers and murderers etc. all end up in outer darkness after the final judgement? This is the only place in the BOM that I can find does nor correspond with church teachings. Not bad if you ask me that there would be only one mistake in a record that size. Nephi 19:6 not the best example...Mormon 8:12 a better example. Explain away as you wish, I'm done on this subject.

True to a point John.:) For members any alcoholic sipping at all would be trouble. I would imagine that if all peoples would refrain from drinking too much there would be no need for that commandment. There is also a simple matter of obedience involved as well.

When I read that whole chapter in Nephi it tells me something different like for instance how small the dominion of the one church is. If this one small church were to include all Christiandom lumped together it would not explain it to be so small. There are other things in that chapter which tells me something different.

Interesting. I havn't heard before of this wine drinking thing. Was it because that was all they gave the prisoners to drink perhaps. Or was it before the word of wisdom revelation came about? Do you have a source or link for that one John?
