  1. Why is that? We are told we would be outcast and scorned for following after Christ
  2. Welcome I'm related to the Hunsakers
  3. That's pretty much what I meant I think you might have realized that
  4. which personallity test is this from? I'm INFJ on the meyers briggs
  5. FWIW I think we should live each day as if He is coming tomorrow and be prepared spiritually as if He won't come in our lifetimes
  6. I think that the purpose in making these claims is that so more and more people say "the Lord delayeth his coming"
  7. I think home-production of anything beats storage any day. Even if you could store all the soap you needed for you and your family, there will always be someone who didn't plan ahead for a disaster who may need your charity. Also, soap would make a great bartering item if we were faced with a long-term disaster and you needed to trade for some food or other need.
  8. Not only rude but bad advice.
  9. And you're right it is hard to choose, here's some more I like: Families Are Forever High On the Mountain Top Put Your Shoulder To the Wheel When You Wish Upon a Star (okay not a hymn but have you heard the Tabernacle Choir sing it?).
  10. Love One Another Oh My Father Israel, Israel God Is Calling Redeemer of Israel Consider the Lillies
  11. Welcome. what does Ach Wae mean?
  12. I also think there will be much work done in the millenium to free people from spirit prison.
  13. I LOVED those Balckmarch, some of my earliest forrays into the realm of fantasy. Also good is The Mallorean and the Belgariard (both are book series three books long) by David and Leigh Eddings and The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Interesting side note about the The Wheel of Time: The author was unable to finish the series, sadly he was killed by a rare blood disease, however, it is being finished by a Brandon Sanderson, and LDS author and BYU creative writing instructor.
  14. It is my belief that there are times when the death penalty could be considered a greater mercy ( for society in general but also for the offender). That being said I don't think we are very good at judging when that is so.
  15. I've read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the Silmarillion, and the Book of Lost Tales. Love all of them except the Book of Lost Tales, which was completed by his son. I have The Children of Hurin but I haven't been able to get into it.
  16. when I first learned that people outside of america called soccer "football" I thought, "Well that makes much more sense." I mean in american football the ball hardly ever comes in contact with the foot.
  17. Suuuuurrrrre you are...Just kidding.. Welcome!
  18. Sometimes those of us who are abused in the extreme, fail to notice lesser (though still destructive) forms of abuse.
  19. While I agree there is no promise that I will be re-united with my beloved animals on the other side. I have no doubt that they will still be my friends and will forgive me of my earthly imperfections.
  20. Plus Christ would have spoken to the people of South America in their own language (or that is how they would have heard it, at least).
  21. We only do as adults the things we learned were correct as children. Thusly, if we were taught as children that masturbation is apropriate, we will continue in the practice as adults, to the detriment of our love lives, prospective spouses, and children who have yet to be born.
  22. unless there is a centralized plan they are all following. Uh oh... better watch out I might be labeled a conspiracy theorist
  23. Just a thought (sorry if it is stretching the topic or hijacking the thread): Would the threat of an alien invasion be motive enough for the peoples of earth to come together and form a one world goverment?
  24. It is my opinion that, regardless of whether this is a hoax or not, it is still a big deal.
