How do I get a key made without the original?
Echo2002 replied to Echo2002's topic in General Discussion
Hmmm, the replies went from hot wiring a car to salmon, lol. My dad was going to take the VIN number and the paperwork showing he paid $900 to get the car out of tow. I don't think the car is worth more than $1000, I thought he was crazy to pay that much to get the car back. I guess all he can do is try. -
My dad paid to get my brother's car out of tow that had been sitting for a month. No one knows where my brother is, so my dad does not have a key to his car. Is there a way to get a key made without the original? My dad also does not have the title to the car, so I'm guessing the Volvo dealer is not going to replace the key if he does not technically own it. It's an older model, probably early 80s.

Also, if you look at Juice labels, a lot of them contain apple or pear juice to make it sweeter. -

In Tennessee all sodas are referred to as "Coke". Here you say you want a coke, they ask you what kind. I've heard the argument that Juice comes from a more natural sugar, well all sugars eventually get converted to glucose, which is the sugar your cells can use. -

Juice has just as much sugar as colas. -
I've always heard 10% of your increase. It's probably between you and the Lord.

Nylons/pantyhose/stockings: necessary for modesty?

I've seen those little socklets. You could just put a little talcum powder or baby powder in your shoes to kept your feet from sticking. -
Nylons/pantyhose/stockings: necessary for modesty?
Echo2002 replied to a topic in General Discussion
I only wear them in the winter. In the summer it's miserable for me to wear nylons. Most of the younger women in church don't wear stockings, the older women do though. I should probably wearing stockings in the summer because right now I have two tan lines on my legs, one where my socks end and the other where my shorts end, haha. Most of my skirts or dresses are right at my knee caps or just below, so the second tan line is not visible. I forgot to add, No, I don't think they are required for modesty. -

It doesn't surprise me. Say "God" in school and everyone freaks. -
I read an article recently, I don't remember where, but it was discussing the fact that you can not charge someone with racial profiling. The only people who can legally be charged with racial profiling are law enforcement officers. Since Zimmerman was not a law enforcement officer I don't see how they can claim profiling in this case was illegal. I don't believe Zimmerman was profiling Martin.

Spencer W. Kimball: “Now, I also would like to add some of my feelings concerning the unnecessary shedding of blood and destruction of life. I think that every soul should be impressed by the sentiments that have been expressed here by the prophets. And not less with reference to the killing of innocent birds is the wildlife of our country that live upon the vermin that are indeed enemies to the farmer and to mankind. It is not only wicked to destroy them, it is a shame, in my opinion. I think that this principle should extend not only to the bird life but to the life of all animals” (President Spencer W. Kimball, Fundamental Principles to Ponder and Live, Ensign (CR), November 1978, p.43). hmmm, maybe I should stop killing the house sparrows that nest in my blue bird boxes?

I've started eating mostly grass fed beef, on occasion I'll have a fast food burger, but not often. I would not cut meat out of my diet. I definitely could not be vegan.

I'm not very good at keeping one either. Recently while I've been reading the scriptures I'll jot stuff down, like what I think that verse means to me. Sometimes when I'm going through a tough time it feels good to write feelings down. I very rarely go back and read what I write.

Wow, I made the mistake of looking at the picture of what's left of that guy's face. I don't see how another human could do that to someone. I hope they can save the eye he has.

That's scary if this stuff is as addictive as meth. I've heard one hit of meth can have a person hooked. I spoke to a girl on an online forum that tried it because I guess she wanted to see what the fuss was about. She said it was very hard for her not to use it again, because she had such a strong craving for it after the first use. She resisted though and she said it scared her to death to have taken something so potent. Drugs are going to be the downfall of this country if it isn't already.

I think we are regressing. I hate to see what the future is going to be like when all of these kids who were coddled all through school and college are going to be like as adults. I've read articles on how bosses are already noticing a difference in work ethic. Young people think all they need to do is show up and they should get paid for it. Forget giving them any kind of criticism, because they can't handle it.

Since it was sold at local gas stations (at least here in TN it was) there's no telling how many people have used it since it's inception. I don't even know how addictive it is.

Just because he doesn't live with his sisters anymore doesn't mean he has solved his problem. He may be ashamed of the things he's done and doesn't want anyone else to know, but if he wants help he's going to have to tell someone that can help him. Porn is an addiction, the affects it has on the brain act just like any other drug. I don't think everyone male is screwed up. We live in a very sexualized society and we just have to learn to suppress our physical desires. It's very hard.

I'm not sure what the draw is. Wasn't PCP kind of similar?

I didn't hear about the guy ripping his own intestines out.

I think the guy that rode up on his bike and yelled at the guy to get off deserves a medal, lol. If I saw someone chewing another person's face off I think I would run as fast as I could in the opposite direction. There was one article I read where the attacker's mother was upset that the police officer killed him. She thought they should have just tazed him a couple of times. The police officer shot him once first but the guy just looked up and growled at him. I think the police officer did the right thing by killing him. What if the guy would have turned on someone else, or got away?

That's scary lizzy16, hopefully he can get some help for that.

It is my understanding that they were both standing up when it started. In one article I read it made it sound as if the attacker started stripping the other guy's clothes off. I think the video that shows them both laying down is toward the end of the attack. I'm guessing they were both under the influence of drugs. I don't understand why someone would want to try bath salts. A friend's son tried it once, she said he went crazy and busted out a window in his car. They took him to the hospital where he nearly died. He is 6' 3" and weighs 200 or more pounds, someone you don't want in your house when he goes psycho.

Unless there is something medically wrong with him a pediatrician is not going to help. Sounds like he's more than just peeking at his sisters getting undressed, which is usually normal for most boys that age. If he is physically harming his sisters then sounds like he need to be removed from the home and entered into a counseling program or something. I don't think any amount of yelling, spanking or threats is going to make him stop. If he's that aggressive then it sounds like he's being abused himself, in that case he still needs help.

It gets uncomfortable when they start confessing things they shouldn't be confessing in front of a group of people. We had one lady that explained how her husband wasn't too smart and didn't have a very good education. It always gets interesting when her or her husband get up. One new convert who couldn't remember that you end the testimony with "in the name of Jesus Christ Amen" instead says "party on!" we all got a good laugh at that. Testimony meetings are probably not the best time to bring an investigator, haha.
