  1. No, (there are reasons, mostly petty) but I have talked to many and learned many things-but even if I was a member my mind thinking as it is, often takes an extremely literal view of things. Like when I hear the term fear of God. If we are on the previous topic or just a broad question, I I can understand the confusion of many to know really why I am here, I could write an essay, really.
  2. cloth can't protect me against most anything physical, except light chemical spills I guess. But I can understand spiritual, religions round the world have garments or headwears for the same or similar reasons. Never heard the physical thing.
  3. I donno bout you, but I'd still love to see Mormon Power Metal
  4. I do wonder if I can cry manly tears
  5. brain slugs can strike us all but seriously, I would also assume that a doctor's note would work too, there was a thread about that, and I discussed my... issues with fabric
  6. I donno, you've seen my generation, things gotta be all sorts of crazy and fast to even hold our attention.
  7. I donno there was space travel and planes and prostetic legs... honestly that first chunk reminded me of the opening to Star Trek Enterprise, it was really strange. It really didn't need to be there and felt completely out of place. Then the footage of Jesus, that's Christian Bale isn't it?! That took me right out of it because he's Batman and I can't exactly take him seriously anymore. But that part at least fit and made sense to the idea of the video and I did like that part for what it was. Would have added different music because this one reminded me of a car commercial, something more... I donno maybe middle eastern sounding? Might have fit more? I donno the sound is less important
  8. even LDS people may have different ideas and answers, people often come up with different ideas to the same end. And it what does it matter if I agree with the question or not, it's you that is answering them. My opinion is pointless, my questions are only relivent right now. My point was they weren't knowledge questions, but opinion questions.
  9. Those aren't knowledge things, those are more sharing of your beliefs, because for example-you and I have different ideas of why and such (and even if they agree with certain things-etc) there's no opinion on who restored tithing, it's the person who did and nothing else.
  10. and depending on who you ask, they say it does
  11. Wrong, twas Lorenzo Snow, and it was put forth in 1899. though back then it wasn't just money it could be paid with. Here watch this, beautiful movie.
  12. I meant in the current church, so I should have said reinstated the law of tithing...knew I worded that wrong So yeah who reinstated the law of tithing in the restored church? (I know more history then gospel, my mind seems to absorb it easier, dunno why)
  13. modern revelation by who?
  14. Which Prophet instituted the law of tithing in the church, and when?!
  15. I always wonder what Lorenzo Snow is looking at in his pictures, he is always looking away in every photo I also wonder, after that short film about him, how many snow jokes he made in his life.
  16. When everyday is a day off, it gets old lol I wonder how my dolls are doing, the 4 back home... I miss them
  17. they're my most trusted friends most of them are girls too, though 3 are male...I was gonna say that but my dolls have some pretty nice clothes lol
  18. all my friends are girls lol
  19. *shudder* It's a scary thought indeed where I could be deemed life of a party, I have heard stories though obviously never went to one myself.
  20. Not everything I say is a direct answer to what you said, sometimes points build on other points-they split off to perhaps bring other areas of conversation into this one, as it has so clearly done.
  21. yeah the one here has full lunches, but I don't think they do it to bribe people because, as to my knowledge, I am the only consistant newbie there (but I could be wrong, I can be very random when I go and how often)
  22. yIn nI' tuq Lakumi! Qapla'
  23. Depends on the person you are offering I suppose, what their personality is like, myself I wouldn't do or accept anything like that. I would feel a sort of shame out of it, but that's how my personality goes (I don't need anything more weighing in my mind to shift the scale of depression, I very much dislike talking of my problems to anyone)-some others may be totally the opposite and consider it a lovely gesture.
  24. No, for the main point is everything has to be altered to fit me and my weird short/thin statue and some fabrics bother me relentlessly, but I don't see my unemployment spell lasting forever, just as long as I stay in this ruin of a town. I thank you none the less, you are kind. I get what you mean though, effort put into something shows, clothes are no different. You make an effort to look respectable and it shows, I cut off my insanely long hair at the time, gosh that would have been last June, I don't remember... am in need for another cut actually.
  25. Not everyone owns respectful clothing, I don't own any nice clothing and don't have the money to buy it. I make it a point not to wear my worst clothes but I am not in dress shoes, fancy shirt, etc-my shoes for example, I only own 1 pair. I do listen, my clothes do not reflect my intentions when I go, but if you are saying I am not wanted because I can't afford to look as nice as everyone else, regardless of my intentions, then I don't know what to tell you. It's the best I can do, and if that's the additude, then why would I want to go? I don't remember Jesus getting all mad when the poor and the diseased came to him dressed in rags to hear him speak, but now he cares? I understand the difference between dressing in a lousy way and in a poor way, but a lot of people don't seem to be able to tell the difference.
