Absolutely. We must be honest in our dealings and be willing to accept the consequences. Ignoring or hiding a sin will not make it go away. We have to pay for them eventually. It's better for us if we do not procrastinate our repentance. 110% agree. We must be honest and true in our dealings. We must not have anything to hide, one day all will be revealed. As for your kids, that is up to you and your wife. If she leaves you it will be hard on everyone but you can not justify covering it up. You owe it to your wife and your children to clear it up now. It sounds like you have come here looking for support in telling you it is ok not to tell your wife. You seem to be searching for excusses when you know already what the right thing to do is. The choice is clear.

Mamacat I do not agree with it but many feel that our Religion is far out of the main stream and work full time to discredit us. While the are not in the majority, they do have a lot of people listening to them and others who might be on the fence are not energized. They seem to see us as worse than somebody who is not very religious at all and have a never ending spew of hate though they call themselves "Christians" too. I am not by any means saying I think Fred is a best person for the job. I am saying that he is the person with the best chance to unite and energize the ENTIRE base and win the whole thing.

Tough situation my friend. If she does not find out this life, she sure will in the next. My advice is to be honest with her and prove that she is the only one you want. I would also involve the Bishop as this is a very serious thing. I can not keep anything from my wife. The guilt would eat me up inside until it destroyed me. Rid yourself of this burden and tell her the truth. The path ahead will not be easy, but at least it will be the right path.

Actually its the GOP base thats excited about Fred, not the MSM. The MSM pick is and has always been McCain because he is a liberal on everything but the war with absolutly no respect for our founding principles and the rule of law. Fred is saying all the right things, he has a rather solid conservative record, he energizes the party base (being honest none of the others do), he is a uniter and not a divider for the party. The current main 3 each have something that divides the party. McCain is his total lack of respect for our country and the rule of law. Rudy is abortion, and Mitt is some of his more liberal leaning legislation and the fact that he is LDS which DOES unfortunatly divide a portion of the GOP base. Fred is extremly well known and comes off as a tough guy. He is an excellent public speaker and knows how to work a crowd. To appeal and energize the base, Fred is our best hope. He is not my first pick for policy reasons, but he is the best pick for the party. My pick is still Newt, even if he does say he thinks Global Warming is man made.

I have never heard in any class teachings that we are brothers with Satan. I can however see how somebody could come to that logic being that Angels are children of God and that Satan is a fallen angel. Adam is not God, and I have never heard that taught at all. Nor can there be any possible links to come to that conculsion through any type of reason. It is one of the many lies made up about what LDS believe.

He is about to move into 2nd place officially because McCain is doing all he can in his power to make sure he does not get the nod. However I doubt it will last long, Fred is going to be fighting for that top spot soon. Once he gets rolling then it will be between Fred and Rudy. Perhaps Mitt can go VP... which has been his goal all along IMO.

Never ever say or think that. I was raised by a single mom who gave up everything for me. Single parents who fight to make it are my heroes and an inspiration.

I really wish conservatives would stop with ideas that start like this and try something that might actually work instead of dreaming up pipe dreams like this. Do you have any idea the logistics that would be involved in a task like this? I have yet to see anyone show a concrete plan of how we could realistically export an estimated 8-20 million people (depending on what estimates you want to believe) from this country. Well as I said, with the other items enacted, it would take care of itself. If you take away their free ride, their housing, and their jobs... then they are going to get the heck out of here and fast. We won't have to provide the ride for most of them. I really wish you would have read what I said before making an accusation that I am just "dreaming up pipe dreams". My plan would work and end the problem virtually overnight.

Simply put, Bush should be impeached if he signs this bill. Here is how I would fix the issue. My fix 1. Deport all illegals. 2. Allow employeers to check legal status of workers before hirring (illegal to do now) 3. Prosecute those who hire illegals. 4. Prosecute those who house illegals. 5. Deny all governemt services to illegals (School, medical, food, etc...) 6. Deny children born in the US by illegals to be citizens. (New years day baby was an illegal.) 7. All legals MUST learn English After all of the above is enacted and enforced then... 1. Look at a guest worker program that allows people to come and work from all over the globe. 2. Look at our current immigration limits and look for improvments. 3. All possible immigrants/guest workers must learn and pass a test on English, US History, and our founding prinipals. They must agree to become a part of our melting pot if they plan to stay. 4. All possible immigrants must be able to offer some skills that they can provide to our society. 5. Enact a nation ID card system. Those of us who wish to drive get it upgraded to a drivers license at the DMV. Perhaps it could also work as a passport. 6. Require ID card to vote. Using the above we would not need the fence and would not have to pay in most cases as they would deport themselves. If anything it would increase revenue from people prosecuted for hiring or housing illigals. It woud=ld also solve the problem over night.

Oh my gosh! Nobody hardly knows about that, the libs have been fighting tooth and nail to make sure that is not known! Its just another example of how collectivism and socialism has failed at every single turn throughout history. Thank you for bringing that point up!

I think this is a good example of Darwin's theory at work. These people want to be removed from our gene pool and I for one suggest we let them.

mamacat that is quite the story. I am really glad you found the Church. As a fellow convert, I understand your fears and still have some of my own but mostly because of some members who try to make up rules and pass them off as gospel. That is a very powerful story and I just wanted to thank you for sharing it.

110% agree with you. The fact that the MSM seems to take his side adds insult to injury. Where is individual responsibility? Where is the accountability? This man needs to prosecuted criminally.

How about other fantasy items? Should we support Star Wars? Star Wars is all about the magic force and the powers that come with it. It could be seen as a form of "witchcraft". How about Lord of the Rings? Need I really go into all that is in that one? Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe? How about that one? They got a Lion posing and acting very much like Christ! How about Pirates of the Caribbean? Should we boycott that as it encourages our children to be pirates. As we all know Pirates were killers, thieves, rapist, and generally the scum of the earth. While the movie is just about "fantasy" it is far more based on real life than Harry Potter could possibly be. What is witchcraft? Is it using herbs that can help heal people? How about using an innovative way to do something better than those around you? Many were burned at the stake by the lynch mobs for nothing at all. These are all stories and fantasy. They are nothing more. I think the articles of faith sum up how we handle any situation. "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." As for the R-rated comment, I never check ratings of movies. If I think something is trash, I will not watch it... if I think something is good then I will. That same article of faith should apply to all we do. Ratings are soo subjective and by people who do not share my values or perspective.

Thats the main reason to hunt! A shotgun slug is a lot less expensive than buying meat in the store! One deer can feed a good size family for a good while. I do have issue with people who kill for "sport" or "fun". That is wrong and wasteful in my opinion.

JC, I had heard that she does kill off Harry to avoid future sequels by others. I hope not, because I still like the good guy winning after a tremendous struggle (ala Rocky, Star Wars, John Wayne movies, etc.). Yea exactly, she just looks to be going down the dark path here. I personally think the stories are trash because of where it is leading and whatever "moral" she is trying to convey I am not sure of but we will find out soon enough with the final book and then we will know what the books are really about and what the message is. Depending on that will depend on if we allow our kids to read the books. I am just really get sick to death of all these movies and stories coming out where the bad guys win and the good guys fail. I am just sick to death of it and I think this series has been headed in that direction.

I like to dress up and go in to help customers every now and then. Really freaks out the people working there, they all seem to do as I say... they must think I am the reginal manager coming to check up on them! (Full disclosure I am totally kidding about this entire paragraph) I guess I kept it for sentimental reasons. :)

I do not understand why people get their panties in such a bunch over this. There are many good fights out there to fight and this is simply not one of them. Its not about being a witch but is pure fantasy in a totally made up world which is no different than Star Wars, Lord of The Rings, and others of similar lines. The story does touch on some real issues that we can relate to and that is overall the story is about good vs evil. Now lets see which way the writer goes with this last book. Will good win or will she give in and do as most modern stories these days and kill off the last of the good characters and end on a dark note which is what I suspect? After all, she already has killed off a ton of good characters for simply the wow factor... which is why I stopped reading her trash long ago. It will be interesting to see how it all ends and what the writers real message is to the Children who read her books. The final book will judge all those that came before.

My first job ever was at A&W! I was 16 and got to sweep the floor, make root beer floats, and flush floaters when needed. I only worked there for a couple months... still have the uniform... and it still stinks! Good times though!
