With the mad dash for toilet paper, I came up with a plan to buy up all of some random product in my home town and hopeful it will start a mad dash for another weird non-disease related product. I am debating between drain-o or “I can’t believe it’s not butter” like products.

Given that stock market exchanges are not typically done with Penny nor Dollar, but with the transfer of data. The way of the currency is of no consequence, instead we should be looking at the weight of the hard drive holding the data that is tracking the currency. According to @JohnsonJones, he lost the equivalent to the amount of currency that can be stored in 1 metric ton of hard drives. That, or the amount of data that one metric ton of Internet equipment can stored in the cloud

My dad pointed out you can replace the line “come on Eileen” in the song by Dexy Midnight Runners with “Covid-19”... so there’s that. Does that count as my story?

I think he was shouting “transfer”. Telling them all to transfer schools

Can you imagine a worst commodity to run out of?

I appreciate the arithmetic precision

I would imagine all of these protestors believe strongly that God is ok with their behaviors and that it’s the HCO and the church that have it wrong. they simply don’t believe this is the true church.

Tithing on children paying board for living expenses

But my conscience would be more right. -
We just bought $400 of clothes diapers and reusable wipes(decision was unrelated to the Coronavirus). With it we bought a hose that hooks to the toilet that can double as a bidet. no TP needed here! Maybe this is just foolish thinking, but I fully intend to get the Coronavirus along with my whole family, have a nasty cold for a week, and get back to life as usual. While the world burns from street riots, my family and I will just be as blissful as can be.

I absolutely would debate. Not for the $5 but for the sake of teaching the principle of what is happening with the money. -
Both are equally bad and should be avoided. One may have a deeper effect on an individual, but both should be avoided

Absolutely not, you can’t mine without germX on hand!
-
I went to mine in southern Utah last night. All germX and similar products are sold out. Same with masks and a lot of disinfectant wipes.

Once your mature enough to know which sins are allowed, then you can just throw the prophet’s words out the window.

Right this very moment on the CNN site. No kidding.

For the record, I have never met anyone who thinks this. Not a single solitary person. As far as I can tell, this is a pure straw man. You are mostly right. However I did have a confrontation with a missionary companion about this once as well as an argument with a friend of mine who wanted to watch Zoolander (PG-13). Granted the friend was not active in the church at the time. Again, I have never heard anyone try to make this leap of (il)logic. Another straw man. This one is absolutely NOT a straw man. It is a very prevalent thought amongst my generation. exhibit A : the “R rated movies” segment starts at 4:00ish and goes about the whole time. At 10:35 is where they talk about how some pg-13 movies are worst than R. Earlier (around 7 minutes) they talk about how some R movies are fantastic and we should all watch them. Many young adults our age think this.

This goes through my mind all the time. Do we really need to watch saving private Ryan, Matrix, Dead Pool or Schindlers List (*gasp*)? There are 2 sides to the R movie argument. (1) R movies are bad but anything less is ok (2) Its the content that matters, some pg-13 movies are worse than R movies. So some R movies are ok I would argue for a third thought: (3) Do not attend, view, or participate in anything that is vulgar, immoral, violent, or pornographic in any way. Do not participate in anything that presents immorality or violence as acceptable.

Why do bad things happen to believers?
Fether replied to floridaman1's topic in LDS Gospel Discussion
The question is a natural byproduct if needing to live by faith. The greatest fear of a man in a world of no God is death and suffering. And since we cannot price there is a God, that fear creeps into our minds despite our faith in Christ and God. Should we know without a doubt that there is a God, death would be comparable to graduating college. I imagine that when we are all in heaven, we will look back at the sufferings we see today similar to how we see a toddler bumping their head in the corner of a table. Really sad, worthy of comfort, but not a big deal. -

It will be put in a “preferred name” section but their “dead name” will still be present -

It’s true, if you don’t explain the two, everyone with gender dysphoria may think they are transgender -

I finally read through the link above, it’s focused more toward those that want to remain active in the church and stay obedient, not toward those who have already transferred socially or physically.
