Ok, things are going well for me.  Got my bad habits licked, my good habits are in full swing.  All the psychological horribleness has retreated for the most part.  It's less hard, more easy.  The last time I weighed this little, was September 22.  Twelve lbs down from when I started.
My usual diet tells me the first 10 are easy, the next 10 takes longer but is doable.  If I can lose 5-6 lbs in Feb, and do that again in Mar, I'll have reached my goal and can start plain old maintaining.
    Dilly Dilly!

Ugh.  Vent time!  I am still on track to hit a new low tomorrow AM.  Even though:
Last night I dreamed about yearning to eat food and didn't sleep well and woke up at 4:30 am and just lay there trying to go back to sleep and being miserable and a dog attacked our poultry and killed three birds including our world's best turkey who did three years as 4H mascot and won Best Turkey at the county fair and I'm getting him cremated because that's what my daughters and wife want and I'm a big sucker and my strained calf muscle is now in its third week of hurting and waking me up at night and making it so I can't do half my exercises and it hurts to walk anywhere so I've been bringing a a crutch to work and church and stuff and now I have to tell the same story to every single person who cares enough to ask, which is actually quite a lot, so I guess things aren't that bad.
    [Giant inhale]
Ok then.  I feel better.  Anyway, looking forward to cheat day tomorrow.  Gonna eat a whole pizza.

I lost nearly 50# in the last year. One thing that surprised me the most was that my shoe size went down. I went from an 8.5 to 7.5 and in some shoes I even fit into a 6.5! I've never, ever been able to wear anything less than a 7.5! Sadly, I had to get rid of some of my shoes since I was literally walking out of them.

Appreciated.  It's one of those weird situations.  I knew him, I liked him, but I hadn't seen him in 20 years (My last trip to Ecuador) and even though I remember him fondly, we weren't close.  I am sad, not broken up, but it's impacting more than I expected.  It's good that it's a light work day today.

Sign up sheets.  For whatever reason, members of the Church will sign up for something that they won't otherwise agree / respond to.
But @Fether's idea is fabulous.  You might need to have a nursery or something.  And unless you do it on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, there are guaranteed to be people who cannot attend (due to other activities Tuesday - Thursday (and not being allowed on Monday)).

This is a good reminder for all of us:
I imagine all of us have reacted in ways other than how this scripture teaches.  I appreciate the reminder to apply this principle broadly.

Forgiving doesn't mean that we ignore the demands of justice or pretend that the hurt didn't happen.  They did, and things have to be paid for.  And you reviewing them for the service you received is totally ok.
What forgiveness does mean is letting go of the anger/hurt in your heart, rather than letting it ferment into soul-sickening bitterness.  You don't forget that something bad happened or ignore justice, but you also open your heart up to Christ's healing so that you can emotionally move past the hurt.

Thank you thank you so much for your kind warm words. Thank you for helping me to be able to think about this better in a tough situation.
My husband will take tomorrow off work for the meeting, he thinks the guy will be giving us a peace offering such as some money off, me, well, I'm a bit more less trusting than that.
We were supposed to pay the workers a check but the manager said to hold off until tomorrow when he comes, so that is where my husband is coming to that conclusion.
It has been a good time to be able to talk to our children about hanging an eternal perspective and for my husband and I to work on bettering our marriage etc... and strengthen our faith that all things work for our good and we are learning lessons even though hard things. (Especially.) And I found this message board that I am enjoying. 😁
I struggle with the turning the other cheek/where is the line? I want to warn others, but want to forgive...I so appreciate your insights. Thank you, thank you. It is nice to have a place to talk to others about the application of the gospel.
Edit: You know, you are right, I am being bullied! And I think I'm caving and rethinking and being confused because they are insisting I am wrong and its weird because I was robbed! They are trying to lessen it and not take responsibility for thier business. I will pray to be strong for tomorrow. Thank you. ❤

I'm sorry you were mistreated and I hope you are able to resolve these problems quickly. While we should strive to forgive and live charitably, we are also supposed to stand against evil. One of my favorite stories in the Book of Mormon is in Helaman 2:6-11. It tells of a servant of Helaman who basically became an undercover cop, and exposed a conspiracy to murder Helaman. By standing up to the Gadianton robbers, this unnamed servant saved Helaman's life. In your case, by exposing the criminals in this organization, and turning your evidence over to the police, you are preventing these people from taking advantage of other innocent people, and hurting them as well. Stay strong, and remember you don't have to let anyone in your home that you don't want to, so don't let that area manager bully you.

    Tip of the day!
This week we made a very large pot of chunky chicken vegetable soup using vegetables that are low in calories.  The resulting soup is approximately 100 calories per bowl (Bowl = ~ 1.5 Cups ~ 14oz weight).  On the first day I ate 5 bowls, which was extremely filling, and I still ended the day below my calorie threshold.  The one downside was that the following morning I was 4 lbs heavier, however, that is temporary until the food is fully digested.  To avoid overfilling myself to get sufficient calories, I replaced 1/2 cup of rice with 1/2 cup of veggies.  This way I could eat fewer bowls and get more calories in; Ironic I know!!!!!
Take Away:  Hearty soup is great!  Get full with lots of veggies and some protein; lose weight while not being even remotely hungry!

I accept everything you have to say here, but I think I'm ok.  I keep my diet varied and usually save the excesses for cheat day.
@SpiritDragon can chime in here, but many of these "you shouldn't do more than X" guidelines apply in general, but exceeding them on occasion is not bad, yes?  Must we never again do an all-you-can-eat rib night because we might exceed 70 grams of protein?  Fasting would be another example.  "Don't skip breakfast!  That's a bad habit!  You could end up [insert all the bad stuff we know about what happens when people don't eat breakfast]!"   And yet, a monthly fast involving skipping two meals, well, there are some health benefits that come with that.
A co-worker once told a fun story about a friend who went on the all-carrot diet, and her skin turned orange.  My wife had a friend with bizarre "only this and never that" diet notions, and gave birth to a preemie with low birth weight and the possibility of a lifetime of health issues.  Danger Will Robinson indeed!
Did the math - I had over a pound of chicken yesterday. Like 600 grams.  Am I gonna be able to play the flute doc?

Get some rest.  If you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything.
Even gathering info to use later puts you closer to your goal, whatever that ends up being.

Oh, dude. I get that. Sometimes, I have fight snacking on unhealthy things on a minute by minute basis.
One thing to keep in mind, your body fluctuates weight on a daily basis--even an hourly. So, not losing 2 lbs in one day is perfectly normal. Be consistent in your behaviors and you will see the weight come off. Just be patient (I know! easier said than done!).

Hi @SpiritDragon, I'm gonna bow out of this for now.  I need to do some major evaluation to see where I need to go with this.  I'm sick again today so I need to solve these problems first.
I'm enjoying reading your mini-articles on nutrients and such.  Thank you for taking the time to do this with us.  I am reading them and filing them away to consider in my plan when I eventually get there.

    Good job, man.
My weapon of choice when trying to avoid the snacking urge is to get lost in an activity that I tend to lose track of time with, like a video game or painting minis.  Whatever y our hobby is, if it's the kind of thing that gets you "in the zone" where you don't think about the rest of the world, it can be a huge help.

I am taking thins to the extreme; I had a perfect opportunity for a cheat day on Friday (Movie theater outing with work), and I took a pass.  I am going to try and reserve my first cheat day for when I am really craving it; we'll see how it goes.
That said Keep it up!  Alas, I have not yet been exercising as part of my weight loss this year.

I've given back 2 of my 3 cheat day gain.  2 more to go, to continue towards my goal.
I'm eating well and exercising.  This is not a "starve myself thin" diet.  Today: Breakfast-yogurt.  Lunch-chili. Snack-apple.  Got 1400 cals for the day left on my plan, I'll shoot for 1000.
Exercise: 30 morning pushups.  Wellness center before lunch, 3 sets of different weight exercises.  Focused on upper body today because I have a sore calf for some reason.

Good news: I weighed 2 lbs less this morning than I did the last time I weighed myself, and I was wearing shoes this time.
Bad news: my arm is almost completely out of commission for the next 3-5 days according to my PA.  It hurts all over (forearm and bicep/tricep) when I try to extend it in any direction, so even yoga is out.  She thinks I did something to irritate a nerve that's along the side, kind of near the armpit.  It most likely happened while napping, since I know I would have said something to the Dr. at work on Saturday if it had hurt even half this badly at that point.  Came home, took a nap, woke up in pain.  Who knew napping was an extreme sport?  Nap safely, my friends.

Good news: I got in an extra workout before curling by pebbling 4/5 sheets, which was basically walking along the entire practice hockey arena with a tub of hot water strapped to my back while waving a metal spraying rod back and forth the whole time. Bad news: it was my first time, so I was sloppy and got my shirt so soaked that it was still wet two hours later. Also, my entire right arm is sore.
Good news: I got a bit of exercise when I shoveled the driveway before work this morning. Bad news: I don't think it helped the arm any (although sleeping on it during an after work nap probably did more damage) and it kept snowing, effectively making my work ineffective.
Good news: I have consumed way fewer calories than normal this weekend. Bad news: it's mostly because there is a nuclear attack on my sinuses that hit me Fiday morning. My eye has leaked at least five times and I've gone through a quarter box of Puffs already today.
