Well, their stuff is all there for everyone to see. Read a few things, watched a few videos...most of it is opinion peddled as fact. True, maybe. False, maybe. I've been around gospel radicals before, and they aren't for me. Snap judgement...perhaps. But I lose nothing by not associating with them. And for what it's worth, just being on their website doesn't feel right.

Never heard of them until today. They seem like the kind of odd LDS folk (odder than most) who made up a club of "faithful" followers who are the only ones who really understand the hidden meanings of the gospel...as if they know and understand secrets that others don't - when in fact we do, we just choose to hold certain things sacred and don't speculate about others over the dinner table to show off how enlightened we are. I'm not a fan of those who delve into "vain mysteries" and "deep doctrine", and subsequently enjoy putting forth their own interpretations of past prophets' words to match their view of how the church should be today. Best to just keep the commandments and follow the living prophet.

The handbook states their prefered name may be used. It does not say it must be, nor does it say preferred pronouns need to be. I am willing to use almost any name a person wants, as long as it is their legal name and is not overly bizzare. If Bob changes his name to Sally, then his name is Sally. Stupid choice, but that is his name. I would likely call him Sal for short. I will not however...use preferred pronouns. Caitlyn Jenner for example is Caitlyn...that is his legal name on his drivers license. He is male though...end of story. I will not call him a she.

This! I have very little meant in my freezer...because we bottle almost all of it. Power outages won't threaten to ruin our meat supply. Bottling Rabbit with a little bit of beef boullion added makes it taste so much better in my opinion.

If they haven't actually experienced death yet, then I guess they could. Moses and Elijah have also had prior experience controlling the elements, as well as other forms of mighty miracles.

We just do the most recent week of study. Trying to fit in everything is just too much, and our instructors tend to rush the lesson so they can "cover everything" rather than let the class make comments and learn from each other. By doing that they really aren't covering everything, bur rather muffling the spirit. Ultimately, our lessons are just meant to be a discussion about what everyone learned in their personal study that week...not an actual teaching of the material.

Fire will come at the "second coming", and will burn up all things that are unable to abide a Terrestrial glory, which is what the Earth will be during the period of the millenium. My belief is that it will be the glory of the Son himself that will burn up those that cannot abide His presence upon the earth. However, it also makes sense that some kind of "fire" or something else will also have to happen again for the earth to be changed/purified to a Celestial state.

(yes, I know this reply is preaching to the choir) Unfortunately, my ward (and stake for that matter) is chock full of people who truly think that if a disaster strikes, we are all going to meet at the stake center, bring what we have, and disperse food and supplies to everyone. They have voiced it multiple times in church meetings; that "we are so lucky to have a church that can take care of us in times of need". They just don't seem to get it. These same people only have the food in their pantries mind you...probably enough to only last them 2 weeks max. No dry goods, no extra fuel, no generator, no extra clothing, no vitamins, no seeds, no firearms, no way to purify water, etc... I have had multiple people give me the "are you one of those weird preppers" looks when I told them I have bought 2 large water filters, one of them a Big Berkey. I am in no way a prepper, but I am trying to be prepared, and having the ability to filter over 10,000 gallons of water for drinking puts me at ease. There is zero chance I am taking anything of mine to the church or city hall to give to others unless I know that my family has what they need first. The church's welfare program cannot be self-sufficient if the members themselves are not so. It is meant to be a safety net...not a support system.

We have approx 6 months saved up for a family of 6. Probably closer to 8 months if we were to ration it out a bit, and likely close to a year if we were to add to it over the months we were using it from our chickens, garden, and fruit trees. We are bottling much of our freezer meat next week...it would be bad to lose power, and as a result half of a cow. I am going to the store again this week to get a 3 more 5 gal buckets for beans, rice, and pasta. Maybe 1 more 50 gal water barrel as well.

In which denominations is this actually taught in such a black and white manner? I have never heard this before, even on my mission. I can see how the two are associated and/or correlated. Much (if not all) of the spiritual education and guidance in scripture also applies to, and bleeds over into, temporal matters. However, there are of course always exceptions and outliers in terms of wealth and righteousness as there are in all walks of life.

I'm glad you say this, because so many people forget how many digs he would make at conservatives. The right wouldn't make a huge fuss over it, (unlike the left did with Trump) but Obama was very rude and condescending at times. Honest question...what exactly has he done? I am not saying I outright disagree with you, but I truly don't see anything that he has actually done to make anything better. His administration seems worse than Obama's to me. How has his "moderacy" reigned in the far left and made relations with the right better? It seems like the only democrats that show any signs of moderacy are the ones elected in red heavy states. (and vice-versa with republicans in blue heavy states)

Perhaps this is a cup half empty opinion, but it seems that the numbers are growing. A minority still, yes, but not a very small one. What's worse is it seems a majority of politicians agree with the fringe. Multiple lawmakers support those foul acts, and have no problem saying it. Many more aren't that bold, but they still refuse to condem such actions. There is nobody good to vote for anymore. I personally refuse to vote for such evil people, and have stared writing in my own names. To me our country feels like it is getting ready to burst at the seams, and prophecies about the importance of the church are nearing their time to be fulfilled.

It seems to me like the left truly wants conflict, but they don't want to get caught starting it so they can continue claiming moral supremacy. Kind of like the annoying sibling that says "I'm not touching you" over and over again until the other one finally smacks their hand away. Then they go crying to mom and dad and the one who lashed out gets in trouble, when all they really wanted was to be left alone.

Yep. Attacks on the church and its members will increase in frequency and severity. Mocking from media is only the beginning, and some people even cave from that. If anyone thinks that "their side" will be aligned with the church in the days before the Lord returns they are fooling themselves.

Like the children of Israel, many today are chasing after false idols. Political movements and philosophy are more attractive than scripture and Prophets. Some even lie to themselves that a just god would accept their evil actions, and that those actions will somehow bring lasting happiness. It has become the norm for many LDS parents to say that because they love their children they will "support" them in their decisions. This includes leaving the church because their enlightened (woke) young adult children don't agree with those 15 old white guys. A couple in my ward no longer attend church because their 19 year old son came out as gay, and he doesn't want them to attend anymore because it hurts his feelings...so they left. Whether it is my sons choosing to not serve a mission, a child getting into drugs, lgbtqxyz, or any number of the stupid ideals now pushed as "equitable and just", I will always, always love my children...but that does not mean I have to support their wrong choices. If they are doing something wrong or stupid I will most certainly tell them.

I agree...something odd is occurring. It is crazy how quickly it has taken hold of so many kids, and how this concept is so alluring to them. It makes no sense to me, but makes me more a believer in how fast the Nephite civilization fell in just 4 generations after Christ's appearance. Our ward also has 1 YM and 1 YW struggling with this. The prophet wasn't lying when he said the adversary was quadrupling his efforts. My young kids do not have, and will not be given access to social media by me or my wife. Hopefully frequent trips to the temple when they are of age will help as well.

Well, I think it is called the "final" judgement for a reason. Those who did not keep their first estate do not get a mulligan. I can't imagine those who don't keep their second estate will get one either.

I like the word boundary better. The scope or sphere of the atonement can reach everyone; it gave Jesus Christ enough power and capacity to reach and redeem the very vilest of sinners. We however are the ones who choose to access Him. Those who end up in/as perdition openly choose to reject the Son after knowing what He can do for them. It is important to remember that the Atonement was an act; it is not a thing. The word itself is a verb, not a noun. His atonement was a series of actions, culminating in the last great sacrifice, that gave the Savior full power over physical and spiritual death. He is the resurrection and the life, and He has the ability to reach and redeem anyone who comes to Him. The power is His.

Correct, the limitations are all on our end. This is why the denial of the Holy Ghost is so severe to not warrant forgiveness - the person does not want forgiveness at that point, and they are openly and knowingly rejecting the Son. The atonement cannot save those who do not want salvation. That does not mean it is less "powerful" per se. We are all free to choose.

I haven't yet, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. The gadianton robbers still exist in our day, and they are not content with simply existing - they want everyone to "become acquainted with their secret works". They will accept any means necessary to push their agenda, which is that of the devil himself.
