  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA This is awesome.
  2. Reason number 88 why I never eat dinner at @mirkwoods house.
  3. That doesn't make any sense. Politics is about bringing groups of people together. If our side doesn’t find a way to get past this “You made your bed now ha ha ha” then the Kruger guy will say “Okay to heck with you too. I’m going to work with the democrats now.” If the GOP goes down this road, they’ll have no chance.
  4. I used to think it wasn’t about that either, but now I’m not sure. It’s obvious that people dislike their own kind, so it’s easier to accept that they dislike someone they disagree with so strongly. After all, if you dislike people who share the same basic views as you do, it makes it easier to dislike someone who disagrees with you, especially about such loaded topics like sexuality and religion. And that guy in the picture is a wise man.
  5. That’s great, glad it’s working for him. However, he probably needs all those jobs to pay for legal fees. If someone wants to open a bakery just to exclude gays so they can get rich on the lecture circuit, I highly advise them to find something better to do with their time.
  6. I’ve thought about that before, just because of my own beliefs that a company has the right to pick their customers. It’s obviously horrific to let gays/mormons/anyone die, but a company has that right, I guess. That said, that’s why monopolies are bad. If Fred Smith won’t sell you heating oil, go to Sallys place. Problem solved. Just to be clear though, you could save yourself 99 problems by just baking the cake or serving the Focus on the Family crew who wants to eat at your diner even if you despise them. Their money is just as green.
  7. Doesn’t this video shows that? Someone complained to Cotton, he brought it up to the Krueger CEO…(Awful stores, btw. Go Publix).
  8. No, but it’s the same basic thing. People refusing to wear a gay pride pin, government demanding a response, etc. There are many similarities here.
  9. is it also “classic” when it happens in reverse? https://www.washingtonpost.com/food/2022/12/06/metzger-restaurant-family-foundation/ Conservatives at one time disliked government power, and hated OSHA rules when they pushed around a company. But a sitting senator questioning a CEO about “wokeism” is a-okay.
  10. https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/kristie-alley-dead-at-71?mibextid=Zxz2cZ Kristie Alley, RIP.
  11. I appreciate your confidence but take my word on this: I’m awful at fishing. Some people go days without catching anything, I go seasons. I eventually just gave up because I realized that it was hopeless.
  12. Fly fishing is like the major leagues of fishing. Way, way beyond my ability, that’s for sure. I used to enjoy regular, basic fishing but I’m awful at it.
  13. Aww, that’s so sad. 😞
  14. I hope not either. Like everyone on here knows, gun laws only stop law abiding citizens. Not criminals.
  15. Also slightly off topic- we all know that the swastika wasn’t originally based in hate. However it’s still an awful idea to use that symbol because it’s associated with Nazis. Did Kanye do something like that?
  16. Understand fully. Not that it matters but I have a hard time believing that any LDS member could be anti Semitic. I’m sure they exist but it’s not common. To the credit of the church, LDS aren't good at hating people. It’s against their nature.
  17. There are a two ways to look at this. One is to scream in horror that this kind of anti Semitic garbage exists. The other is to be thankful. Why? Because the outcry against Kanye is so severe and harsh that one could easily argue that being pro Hitler and anti Semitic destroys your career in seconds. As it should.
  18. You are watching the rantings of a mad man. and Kanye West.
  19. And the first bishop* I ever met really was a great guy. Funny story-on our first get to know you guys meeting he offered us Reese’s Peanut butter cups. I said to him “I would have joined 20 years ago if I knew you handed out candy.” *out of the three bishops I’ve had, they have all been very nice guys. Just to be clear.
  20. Understand. My mom was never comfortable with my sister or I calling priests “Father Jeff” or whatever so I get what you are saying. We also did the thank you notes too growing up.
  21. The first bishop I ever met asked us to just call him by his first name. It was weird, but not that weird. Growing up I called many Catholic priests “Father Jeff” or whatever.
  22. I’m optimistic. Despite conservative pessimism (which I think is a good thing in theory) we are still a nation that has a nominal Christian faith. Time will tell of course.
  23. 100% certain this will happen. However, recent rulings have been favorable to religious rights, so it’s hardly a slam dunk for the hypothetical gay couple.

  25. Oh, agree fully.
