  1. I totally agree with you-though I remain convinced that your average Muslim is appalled by Hamas and wants to live in peace. I think they view Hamas the same way reasonable Christians view those who shoot up abortion clinics. As lunatics who are poisoning the well.
  2. @zil2, what got you into fountain pens?
  3. I’m no expert, but if prehistoric people took down Mammoths I’m sure they could also take down these things.
  4. I have family members who say I remind them of the main character, but I don’t see it. We both like comics but I hate math with a burning passion. I’ve seen the show once and thought it was quite bad. @Vort: another physics joke.
  5. A lot of LDS use the LDS reddit page to bond with other believers. Especially if they don’t really gel with their ward.
  6. Okay, so you also have no actual evidence of America ignoring intelligence and letting this happen, it’s just your opinion or feelings.
  7. 100% agree. That’s why the only people who trust Trump are the other hardcore supporters. The rest of us realize “If this is how Trump treats people, he’ll treat me that way too when I am no longer of use to him.”
  8. Exactly. And if we scare people over every mouse, they won’t listen to us when the actual wolves show up.
  9. I saw this very touching political cartoon.
  10. I never really thought about it but you are absolutely right about this. Perfectly said.
  11. I used to share a ward with her and her husband, Congressmen Richard Swett. Without question two of the most loving and kind people you will ever meet.
  12. In high school they made us all like up by height for graduation. I was the shortest guy, and almost every other girl (!) was taller then me too!
  13. Dude, I’m almost a foot smaller than you!!!!
  14. This is a tight rope for religious people to walk on. If we want to say human trafficking/grooming is all over the place…well okay, but since that door has been opened, by us, a reasonable person has the right to say “You know, I’ve heard churches have this problem too. Perhaps I should stay home with the kids this Sunday.” It’s a totally fair point on their part.
  15. No. People post stupid things like this all the time: https://www.wilx.com/content/news/State-police-warn-about-sex-trafficking-misinformation-online--561364401.html We are scaring people to death. Nope. It all depends how you define it. How many non custodial abductions have you been called on in your career? Satanic Panic/Day Care scare 2.0. Future generations will look back at this and cringe.
  16. I’m aware of it, I just refuse to believe the urban legends surrounding it. Thanks to Ballard and his gang of merry men (and their media co conspirators) we now have suburban moms scared to go to Target because they think they’ll get human trafficked. If you think logically, the odds of a car accident are astronomically higher. But they aren’t afraid of that. It’s disgusting.
  17. This is part of four stages of grief. Bargaining. Where we’ll admit that Tim Ballard did something wrong as long as we can point to things that others did wrong. It’s like getting a DUI and trying to downplay it by telling the cop your neighbor got one too, so arrest him. Acceptance will be coming soon.
  18. I understand fully my friend. This is one of those times where my head says one thing and my heart says another.
