  5. It’s complicated. You had some liberals who were vocally opposed to transgenderism before Trump. JK Rowling comes to mind, but there are others. Having said that, I do think a lot of people have been silent about who they voted for this election cycle. They’ll say Kamala but they secretly voted for Trump for many reasons.
  6. Good advice if you want to get better at anything, really.
  7. It’s already a big horror movie, but I agree it’s no where near South Park/BOM musical levels in terms of influence right now. Ignoring it would have been the best choice but the church already released statements about it. Twice. We need some way to tell our side-I’m optimistic people will Google the church name and find out more about us. Especially my fellow horror junkies.
  8. I’ll bite. Why?
  9. The church tried to reclaim the narrative by handing out BOMs at showings of the musical by the same name. Have they done anything like this at showings of this movie?
  10. Understandable, but naive.
  11. Politics comes before religion. How else do you explain Massachusetts Catholic democrats mindlessly voting for any democrat even though their party is so wildly pro choice and pro gay marriage? For what little it’s worth, I think it’s because the results of politics is felt immediately and has such practical, real world consequences.
  12. I don’t think RFK jr is one of the “people left behind by the democrat party”. He’s still pro choice, anti death penalty, pro gun control…
  13. I absolutely agree that the democrats have moved so far to the left that moderates no longer feel comfortable in their party. The same thing happened to moderate republicans but they are much fewer in number.
  14. Yup. That explains why liberals are very hesitant to advocate for abortion and gay marriage in southern black churches.
  15. Slightly off topic-but who would have thought a republican president would pick a Kennedy to run anything?!
  16. It’s funny how everyone is raised differently. My parents always told me not to discuss religion/politics in public unless you are with close friends. However, in private we talked religion and politics all the time.
  17. And that’s my point. It’s easy to claim that you can see the future when your own income/reputation isn’t on the line.
  18. It’s a bit like watching Airplane! and getting mad people are copying the dialogue with their friends and laughing.
  19. That’s what the creators were going for. As shallow, mean and nasty as it is, none of these women will win a beauty contest. That’s the entire point. I think even they were in on the joke.
  20. This was satire that anti-prohibition people created. I think If I had to choose between kissing some of these girls and drinking…pour me another shot please. Nothing personal.
  21. Both members of the Church of England are deeply upset by this.
  22. Ouch. Dude! 😉
  23. I understand that, and looking back of course it makes sense now. I’ve been flooded these past several days with people who suddenly possess the great power of prophecy. When I ask them to put money in the stock market or place money on the Steelers vs Bears, they are suddenly quiet. Everyone is a prophet-but when asked to put money on it, crickets.
