Very fun, and cleverly worded in places. I don't think Klaw was paying close attention though. I have a feeling Harold may be in big trouble come morning... (I have no memory of this, but apparently when I was very little I drew a bunch of flowers on the wall of my bedroom with crayons. When Mom found me and asked me - no doubt furiously - what I was doing, I reportedly said, "I wanted pretty pictures on my wall." Seems perfectly logical course of action to me...)

Yes. I expect DNA is to blame.

Meanwhile, I've spent my whole life living with pets, petting them and not washing my hands before eating (as a child), letting them lick me, cleaning out litter boxes, etc. etc. and have never once had any parasitic infection (at least, not that had any symptoms). Of course, to my knowledge, none of my pets ever had worms (that needed treatments) - I might not have known, though, when I was a little child. IMO, while there's a risk, if you keep your pets healthy, and them, you, and your house clean, you don't have much to worry about (assuming you have a good immune system). And yes, now that I know Klaw has them, we're doing a deep clean and taking extra precautions until he's rid of them. I'm still not worried. This is generally how they describe extracting the venom. ( @Carborendum's explanation makes much more sense, though.)

Klaw is examining this book right now. I plan to read it to him later, as a bedtime story.

He was being snarky.

Snake, schmake - Klaw puked up a roundworm yesterday (only about 5cm long). Went to the vet today to start a different, more effective dewormer than what he got up through 16 weeks old. I've learned a lot about roundworms in the past 24 hours. (Why was the woman playing in grass where a python frequented? Not that it matters - the local dogs, cats, rodents, etc. could have left roundworm eggs there....)

Only one wife? None of the others?

Water or milk (trust me, OJ and bacon is not a good flavor combination!).

If, one Sunday, I show up on your doorstep with a kitten in my arms, you have only yourself to blame!
-
Klaw will be the one hiding wherever he can't be found / reached the whole time! (He's making slow progress, but still afraid of everyone but me.)
-
Just one problem - my house is designed for one (plus kitten) - there's nowhere for folks to sit and eat. Buy I've taken my waffle-making supplies on the road before, so I could do it again.

This thread needs to die! Every time I see it, I want waffles, but I'm way too worn out to make waffles (and I think I need to make more syrup, too, and I'm too worn out for that, too). So, everyone just needs to quit posting here. And don't tell me to go to a Waffle House - there isn't one in the area (to my knowledge), or an IHOP - neither one makes waffles as good as my home-made waffles.

Um, could you define "guys"?

I'm sure Klaw would like a place to complain about Meowmy. For example, today, in addition to abandoning Klaw to go to something called "Church", Meowmy allowed a stranger in, and when the stranger left, and left behind a brownie, Meowmy didn't let Klaw have any of the brownie. Further, Meowmy didn't allow Klaw to stay outside as long as Klaw wanted (she complained about "too hot" as if!). (But in my experience, people use facebook in ways that I find exceedingly disappointing, and I expect Klaw would discover the same, so we came to our senses and got out a toy to play with instead.) -
What's not to love? It gives clear explanation of scriptures that might otherwise be confusing.

OK. IMO, Ether is clearly referring to the (future) Americas - the promised land to which the Jaredites and then Lehites (and Mulekites) were brought. It also seems to me from the context that these are Noah's flood waters. So, OK, the flood could have only covered the Americas (or some portion) - making it the covenant portion of the planet? I don't know. Am not emotionally invested, though I prefer the whole planet flood idea. Like I said, take it how you wish. I tripped over it in my scripture study. It could also mean that Ether believed the flood waters covered the whole earth but that he was wrong - or maybe he thought they only covered this land... Or maybe the receding waters were from the creation when the land and water were separated. There are lots of options. At the moment, I'm more concerned with the fact that Klaw keeps trying to eat my dinner...

I think I could, depending on just how much @Traveler is willing to pay me. Feel free to message me directly, @Traveler. -
This is the most recent thread I could find that brought up the question of whether Noah's flood was global or even real. So I'm just gonna leave this here: Take it how you wish.

Like a native Spanish speaker and words that start with the letter s followed by another consonant - they always want an "e" in front.
-
Not specifically, but the Church's Library app has a Russian translation I can use, if needed. Sounds interesting. Probably some idiomatic thing - like they have words for "possess" or "own", but don't really use them. Instead they say, for example (and translating literally): "At me there is car." (They don't have "the" or "a" or "an"; in some cases, the "there is" might even be left out.)

I thought this had already been done, with the generation currently at universities... Well, we are (ugly bags of) mostly water. This has been done too - on Aldea... Can't wait to see what else the next generation comes up with...
-
Huh. Well, no clue. Happy to watch my email, though, and help if I can.

Hey! My kitty is no bully! You know that game where you look around the corner of something and quickly pull away, and while you're not visible the cat sneaks closer, repeat until the cat pops out and attacks you? Well, yesterday we were playing that with a tunnel made by an area rug, and when Klaw popped out, he bapped me in the face - no claws, just a gentle bap with one paw before running away. Pretty sure that's the kitty version of tag.
