R rated films lead kids to smoking/alcohol/violence
Elgama replied to rameumptom's topic in General Discussion
what rating would Book of Mormon the Movie get? -
if you are truly in love you can wait both sexually and physically for marriage. 2 years is nothing when you are looking at eternity. going on a mission blesses the family you will have do you really want to mis out on eternal blessings because you couldnt hold back 2 year? fact is if you don't want mission, chastity etc for your children when they are things you can give them what you have is not an eternal love its just everyday. Your love may grow into something more, but right now you are blaming the prophets for making you do something you should want to do for your family if love of an eternal companion is what you are considering

he responds to prayers, he is there very unhelpful reply but to me I have as much evidence for God as I do my husband or my parents, one suggestion maybe to pray for a bit and keep a prayer journal noting your prayers

I was 1-3 when I had nursery. I found starting with packed lunch/picnic time helped, and having a dedicated sleeping space. We also did walks round the outside of the building when possible and I found some jumping/running games.

my view is that Adam is the first man we have to concern ourselves with, what happened before that is irrelevant

every single one of us even the Saviour was born with ability to transgress, with the exception of the Saviour everyone of us is going to transgress.

Big question is do you feel you have broken the law of chastity? and are you capable of repenting on your own? When you face Heavenly Father in the morning and night can you with a clear conscience say I am clean again?

Quitting YSA
Elgama replied to Plastic_Starlight's topic in Young Single Adults, College and Institute
YSA wards are a luxury/curse lol however you see them, I think my country has the grand total of 2... maybe more of less. Personally I'd have gone nuts in a YSA ward I love the spirit and wisdom of the older members in the ward and the spirit and wisdom of the children. Its bad enough at uni mixing with mostly people of a similar age without doing at church as well. Its perfectly possible to get married without attending one - how about just attending institute there? -
agreed one thing even complete strangers agreed about was Sally had a special spirit. I was often stopped by people through her life who commented on it. She was my dog through rather difficult teenage years, she was there as my protector and friend, remember when Mum had people she didn't approve of in the house she would sleep on my chest giving warning growls when they came up to use the loo. She was very capable of cognitive thinking (heck crows are), and very capable of communicating. She wasn't a human but she was special. She was also courtesy of my Mum addicted to nicotine and loved a brandy lol - she was the only dog I knew that would go towards a lit cigarette just to breathe it in:)

Sex offenders mother giving my daughter a hard time...
Elgama replied to RadioactiveWolfboy's topic in Advice Board
I agree with all the previous posts we are facing a similar problem where whilst my daughter wasn't molested she was bullied by an adult at church. We haven't been able to attend church for a time as a result. (no physical means of travelling to another unit), now we can we are asking to be transferred. I cannot in all conscience expect my daughter to go to the same unit as someone that treated her the way she was treated (she is only 6 now) I think because of this we will have to work at moving from the area, can't ask my daughter to continue to go through this. I would start with the restraining order. -
Just like you get Latter Day Saints who abuse the power they are given in everyday life you get Muslims who do the same. How someone chooses to be Muslim is upto the individual like with every religion. In practice in the UK Muslim women seem to be very well educated. Not to mention Pakistan has had a female Prime Minister. Iran and Iraq have had good periods with womens rights, the Lebanon the same. I am not sure how accepting your husband as head of the home demoralizes women>?

i know its an old thread but I was brought up in a family of policemen going back to Sir Robert Peel (founder of my countries modern police service), my Uncle was a senior police officer here and in Hong Kong. I was brought up with you never speak to a police officer when accused of something with a solicitor /lawyer present. Fortunatly my husband had an incident and now agrees with this, and he now does not go out without the name and number of a really good solicitor in his wallet. When my kids start leaving the house alone will make sure they carry one too

not sure how a dog being able to communicate makes her human or how physical distress is an entirely human characteristic? What it does mean simply is that the dog and human had a longer than usual dog and human relationship, not many dogs make it to over 20
