Lost_one Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 If you could have 1 famous person convert to the church, who would it be and why? For me it would be Patrick Stewart. He just has such an air about him, he would be a great asset to the church and its growth. So come on guys, who would you pick and why? The famous person doesnt have to be alive, so feel free to choose anyone. Quote
Palerider Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I would pick Zig Ziglar.....he is awesome and always positive and very religous in his beliefs....:) Quote

Definately Barack Obama; He could really use the {true} gospel in his families life and he is the sort of person whom would be an excellant member and help build the church with his obvious stature in the world; I beleives its very obvious that he has been missled by religon as has Bush and all the other presidents.:) Quote

pam Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 I would want Harrison Ford without Calista Flockhart. He's such a hottie. Then I could be sealed to him for eternity. Quote
Moksha Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Socrates. He would insure there would be "keep me awake" discussions in Gospel Doctrine and Priesthood meetings. Quote

Aesa Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Um... as far as I'm aware .. churches (scripturally) are not to seek after popularity. And, why would you want to have lots of growth from lots of 16-year old fangirls joining because of their celebrity darling? Quote
Guest Alana Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Pope Benedict XVI might shake things up. Obama was a good idea jadams_4040. Quote
miztrniceguy Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Pale...Zig was in KC last month...did you go to the seminar? I would convert Jimmy Swaggert and The Bakkers, so they can"preach" to millions!! lol Quote
FunkyTown Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Eliza Dushku, I... Wait, wait: Eliza Dushku is already a member. Assign me as her home teacher! Quote

pam Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Another person would be Kevin Cronin from REO Speedwagon. If you have ever been to one of their concerts you would know what I mean...he talks to the audience as if he's preaching. He'd be perfect! Quote
Truegrits Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 The famous person doesn't have to be alive, so feel free to choose anyone. Elvis...not because of his celebrity...because of his amazing voice, singing hymns! :) Quote
pam Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Josh Groban as he'd be a great addition to any ward choir. Quote

Wingnut Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Does ceeboo count as a famous person? Could we convert him? Quote
pam Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Hmmm well he IS quite famous here on lds.net. Or is that infamous? I get the two words confused. lol Quote
Guest ceeboo Posted December 4, 2008 Report Posted December 4, 2008 Dear Pam and Wingnut, I see you both CONTINUE to try and brighten up the days of others and find ways to interact in a warm Christian way. I wish you would both stop uplifting us all by sharing your wit and hearts while you obviously extend your hands in friendship to all. It is my humble opinion that we need to STOP ALL THE SHARING OF SMILES AND BEGIN TO DO THE REAL WORK OF THIS SITE. ( CONDEMNING EACHOTHERS FAITH, JUDGING EACHOTHER, AND FURTHER DIVIDING THE CHILDREN OF GOD!!!) I hope you both will consider my suggestions. Peace and I look forward to much more serious chat!!! The Ceeeeeebooooo Quote
