Today after church we had Pot Luck Dinner. I noticed on the table there it was....you guessed it...GREEN JELLO....someone made green jello and cottage cheese.....I busted up laughing and started thinking about all the jokes and comments made here about green jello.....:D:D:D

I read this and thought "So?" But then I remembered that you live in St. Louis, Pale. I guess it would seem more out of place there.

Its not that its out of place....I thought it was funny because of the jokes we make here about it.....:D

I think it's funny because we do joke about it here all the time. I think I would laugh too if I saw it at a potluck and I live in Utah.

I grew up as an active member in Maryland, and jello of any sort would've been very out of place at a ward potluck. People out there prefer brownies and/or homemade cookies.

We get those kinds of things to here...but, as I mentioned earlier it cracked me up when I seen this green jello sitting there with what seemed to be with cottage cheese mixed with it....:lol:

Yeah, I probably would've gotten a kick out of it too. You have to admit though, it's pretty creative.

don't you hate that? lol every so often i see something that reminds me of something that took place here and i laugh out loud.... then ppl look at me funny, or worse ask what is so funny and there is really no way to explain it without sounding crazy so i just say nothing..... which also sounds crazy so it's kinda a no win.... oh well.

I would rather have green jello.....without veggies or cottage cheese in it...:)

The veggies and cottage cheese are merely added to express the chef's creativity. It is the Jell-O itself that nourishes and strengthens our bodies.

As far as siouxz72 explaining significance that Jell-O holds to Mormons, simply explain that Jell-O is the Mormon Gefilte fish, and as such, is a substance that has deep roots in the Mormon psyche.

Hope that helps...

I'll take your word for it. Green Onions and raisins should not be used in the same sentence me thinks.
