Guest Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Okay, so Kris is this luvable huggy bear. But there is no question who was the better singer... as evidenced by their duet with Queen. It's not even the same league. Adam was robbed and even Kris knows it. Quote
pam Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 As much as I like Kris..I honestly was shocked when they didn't call Adam's name. Quote
Lbybug Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 i wasn't shocked. i liked adam, but i figured kris would win. but as with most the past idols, the runner up usually goes on to bigger and better things than the winner does. i'm sure adam will have an album out long before kris does. that's the way it goes. pam Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I do believe Adam will have a very big career ahead of him. But man...can you imagine having the opportunity to sing with Kiss and Queen? Quote
Lbybug Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 no kidding! my friend was peeing herself when she saw the kiss and queen moments. totally in heaven. amazing. Quote
JPL1234 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I was not suprised at all myself. I was a Danny fan and hoped he would win (was shocked that Kris made it to top 2 with Adam). Adam is definately more of a "performer" and a better singer yes, but I think and have thought all along, that Kris definately appeals to a wider range of people. For the most part (not all of course), Adam would appeal to a younger audience, and more of a "liberal" audience whom is more into the heavier rock type music. Kris on the other hand, could appeal to pretty much anyone, young and old, and those into country music, also those whom are more conservative musically and in general. For me, Adam turned me off a bit, I know he is good, but not really my style is all. I found him a bit over the top and have to say...cheezy......Adam will go on to good things, probably fronting a heavier rock band and he'll do very well. Quote
pam Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I think that's why Kris appealed to me more. I could see him singing the ballads and I'd be in heaven. Though I thought Adam had an extremely wonderful voice..the screaming at times got to me. Quote
Guest Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) Yeah, I'm an 80's girl - Skid Row and all that... so Adam really appealed to me, black eye-liner, screaming, and everything! I was super hoping they can somehow have him sing with Rush. That would have been really cool! He has that really crazy vocal range that would do really well with a Rush song. Kris is great in a Donny Osmond type of way, but he didn't gain enough confidence in himself. He is very reluctant to "belt it out". I guess it is kinda intimidating to be next to Adam. Adam's personality just tends to dominate everything. By the way, I loved Rush... but I didn't care for the athiest lyrics. It's kinda a bummer when you really like the beat of a song, then have to tune out the words! Edited May 21, 2009 by anatess Quote
pam Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I should have been rooting for Adam. After all. He is from my home town of San Diego. Quote
BenRaines Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 From what I have noticed, and I don't watch the show, those who do best after winning AI are those who are country. Hey guess what it appears that more of the country loves country music and wholesome music and singers than goth looking heavy metal. Who would have thought. Change the music at the gym. Not everyone is in to rap. Sheeesh Ben Raines Quote
Wingnut Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Kris can actually sing, while Adam manages to ruin every good song he tries to "sing" with his screeching. Quote
RachelleDrew Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Kris looks like a goat chewing on a tin can when he sings. Not to mention, he bores me. Adam is amazing. It should have been him and Allison Iraheta in the top two with Adam taking it. Quote
Wingnut Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 He does do a funny sideways thing with his jaw when he sings...lol. Quote
jameslentz Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 and here i thought this was a thread to do with how Adam was decieved by Eve or something such as that.....*sigh*......should have known it was this crap. Quote
RadioactiveWolfboy Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Adam was robbed in the same way that Katherine Mcphee was robbed when Taylor Hicks won. I don't watch the show much, but felt Adam had a stronger voice. I felt the same way about Katherine Mcphee. Taylor Hicks just doesn't have a strong voice. But granted they are all talented and I wish them much success!! Rich Quote

American Idol is a popularity contest and Kris was more popular with those that choose to vote on such matters. Quote
