Hello all,

I am so glad to find an LDS community to chat. I love to chat and often spend too many hours of my day online. I have a special needs son who requires my extra attention and patience, but somedays I don't have much!! I also have a daughter who is homeschooled as well.

Anyhow, looking forward to getting to know you. I love to chat about news stories, not sure if anyone else is but just thought I would put that out there.

Regards,

Tamie

PS - and I will not stand for being accused of being a good speller!! haha!! :D

Hello all,

Welcome!

You guys are so lucky with the homeschool... we have no chanse for that in my country... :(

Anyway I am a pedagogist and I am facinated about montessoripedagogy. If you never heard of it try to find a few books on it written by Maria Montessori... ant recall the name now .. something like the secret of childhood.

Anyway she has fantastic teaching materials! Writting, reading, math, geography, nature... even language, teh grammar.... It is like a game to learn. I recomend! (she sarted out with special kids, kids that everyone tought would not learn.. and they passed the exams and learned to read aso...)

They have made a film serie of her too in italian.

:)

need grownups to talk to

Well, I don't think I qualify, but my wife knows the feeling. She homeschools our two kids too.

A while ago there was a commercial featuring a SAHM who at the end of the day would just stare at a picture on the wall and babble baby talk. Her hubby took her to the symphony.

Welcome!
