Wingnut Posted July 7, 2010 Report Posted July 7, 2010 I'm with the Assemblies of God (pentecostal). Funny...I figured my collar was a dead give-away. To someone not familiar with different uniforms within Christianity but outside Mormonism, they all look the same. Quote

I am from Utah so I am uniform-uninformed.Is there a category for Pentecostal in the quiz? What is the difference between Pentecostal and 7th Day Adventists, or am I highjacking the thread? Quote

prisonchaplain Posted January 2, 2011 Author Report Posted January 2, 2011 BTW, I just received official word from SLC that 53% is not good enough for a T.R. In fact, they said I could not even get baptized with that score. And, here I was feeling all belongy and everything. :-) Quote
mrmarklin Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 (edited) I took the test and I'm a Mormon. There is another test (tests any religion) that I have taken, and in that one I'm Orthodox Jew. Wow! Just did Belief O Matic and I'm 100% Mormon!!!!!!! Edited January 3, 2011 by mrmarklin Quote
dahlia Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 Hmm... I got 100% LDS and I thought I answered some questions in a way that was more secular than I thought a 'born' LDS might answer. I got 96% Orthodox and 86% Reform Jew, so in a way this is good. I've taken similar quizzes and received high scores as Reform Jew (which is what I am currently, the Catholicism was childhood and young adult). If I am moving closer to LDS (well at 100%, how close can you get?), that's a good sign. And even though I thought I gave secular humanist answers to some questions, getting a 96% Orthodox means to to me that I'm moving toward more conservative or more Bible-centered beliefs, which isn't a bad thing. I think I would have had different answers maybe 2 years ago. Quote

miztrniceguy Posted January 3, 2011 Report Posted January 3, 2011 PC, you need to have a higher level of commitment before you can be baptized. "A" for effort and tolerance. Quote

I'm impressed with mine that I could be Buddhist. Quote
prisonchaplain Posted January 3, 2011 Author Report Posted January 3, 2011 Well...the church rep. was laughing so hard that I got to giggling, and accidently spewed some of my Starbucks bold pick of the day all over his nice suit. The conversation kinda when down hill from there... Quote

Roseslipper Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 so says the selectorquiz for religion. selectsmart.com selector quizzes. Find your matching candidate, religion, philosophy, etc. some here may argue that i'm more than half way there. Then again, maybe the church is moving ever so cautiously towards me. wheres the laugh button?? :) Quote
Jamie123 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 My highest was "Liberal Christian Protestant" (100%). My lowest was Jehovah's Witness (28%). My LDS rating was 52% (in between Neo Pagan at 56% and Scientology at 51%), so I'm 1% less Mormon than PC Quote
IAmTheWork Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Ha, that was quite fun - thanks for the link! I came out as basically Zen or Hindu, with LDS at only 34%. Oh well. OT, but one of my favourite stupid jokes; What's a Hindu? Loys iggs. (Think Australian). Edited January 5, 2011 by IAmTheWork Spelling. Quote
