Bini Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I was just telling my husband how cool it'd be for one of Hollywood's big shot directors to tackle and remake Robocop. Now, I'm not saying that Robocop was an epic movie but in the right hands it COULD be and make a fantastic comeback..Anyway, out of pure curiosity, I did a search online and stumbled upon some recent Robocop stills. Haven't read up on any of the links but it looks like Robocop may already be in the works. Whether that be a television series, or an actual movie, I don't know.. But I'd be interested in this hitting the big screen, and reliving some nostalgia! Quote
Vort Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I remember watching Robocop long ago and being stunned at the over-the-top violence. I remember thinking the movie was almost funny because of how cartoonishly violent it was. Quote

They could jump start a fresh franchise, like they did with Batman. Quote

That it was a mocking social commentary of the violence in films Quote

NeuroTypical Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 What, two sequels, a television series, two animated TV series, and a television mini-series weren't enough for you people? Quote
dahlia Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I loved the scene where one of the bad guys gets doused with toxic liquid. That was really scary looking back when the movie came out (I've seen worse since then). The original movie is a piece of modern American art. They should leave it alone. Cognitive dissonance moment - Watching Peter Weller lecture on Renaissance art. Quote
Anddenex Posted November 30, 2012 Report Posted November 30, 2012 I remembered the guy getting shot between the legs through the woman's skirt. Quote
