CrimsonKairos Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Bittersweet Symphony rocks. Mine, though? I'd have to say: Now We Are Free, from the Gladiator soundtrack (by Zimmer and Gerrard). Quote

Guest Username-Removed Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 For me I dont listen to that much pop music anymore. But my answer would be the following ...1) I could sing of your love forever - I like this song performed by SonicFlood2) I can only imagine - MercyMeThose two will always get me through the tough times for sure! Gwen Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 there are tons of songs (mostly country) that make me feel better, depends on why i'm down. the two i've been living off of the last month or two (litterally i listen to them almost daily).mentioned one in another topic Rascal Flatts - Stand http://www.hit-country-music-lyrics.com/Ra...and-Lyrics.htmlthe other is an lds artist jenny phillips - true to youSomething deep inside you wonders if you’ll ever be enough. You fall; you fell, as you try to measure up. It hurts more than you show, but you have to know, you’re never alone. He is there, always in your heart, even when you wonder if he knows who you are. He believes you will make it through and he knows all the things you are gonna do. No matter what you’re going through. He will remain true to youHe knew all the things you would face and he knew what you would need. So he prayed and he cried and he fell upon his knees. It hurt more than you know. He’s ready to show you are never alone. He is there, always in your heart, even when you wonder if he knows who you are. He believes you will make it through and he knows all the things you are gonna do. No matter what you’re going through. He will remain true to you. He will remain true to you Quote
Vanilla Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 Hooked on a Feeling is a great song. Double Dutch Bus makes me smile until I laugh. (High School Memories) Anything by Bon Jovi or Def Leppard energizes me. My guilty pleasure: AC/DC Shook Me All Night Long (This song will pull me from the worst of bad moods!) Quote
CrimsonKairos Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 2) I can only imagine - MercyMeTotally know what you're saying. I love that one...the imagery is amazing and the chord progressions...mmmmmmm, good stuff. B) Quote
rosie321 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I have a lot of favorites. This one's really good. Really needed it today. Homesick Lyrics » Mercy Me You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry Is how long must I wait to be with you I close my eyes and I see your face If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow I've never been more homesick than now Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same Cause I'm still here so far away from home I close my eyes and I see your face If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow I've never been more homesick than now In Christ, there are no goodbye And in Christ, there is no end So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have To see you again To see you again And I close my eyes and I see your face If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow I've never been more homesick than now Quote

Guest Emma Hale Smith Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 Oh I have one more. And She Was by Talking HeadsTalk about a Blast from the Past!Lifetimes ago I used to work at Weber State and took the Astronomy course before work started. That meant I was often in the planetarium by mytself with only with the tech who was setting up for the lesson. He would BLAST "And She Was," and along with the rest of the Talking Heads tape, and it was pure heaven!Good times.lI'd forgotten all about that!EmmaI have just purchased "Sweeney Tood: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street," so that I can know the story and the music, because . . . JOHNNY DEEP IS PLAYING SWEENEY TODD THIS COMING DECEMBER AND I WANT TO WATCH HIS LIPS MOVE TO EVERY SINGLE SONG!!! SIGH......It's a Steven Sondheim musical, and I love his work. His music, however, can be ver quirkly, and I've always had to listen to it a few times before I really get it, and then I absolutely love it.My favoriate song is "Sweeney's Epiphay" and I wait with baited breath to see how Johnny plays it.Sigh.....Johnny Depp.....the world would be such a bleak place without him.Emma Quote
