Iggy Posted December 17, 2017 Report Posted December 17, 2017 That's it? No twinkling lights? Well at least it saves on electricity. Iggy's home has year round blue rope lights going up the ramp rail, and clear rope lights framing the front porch, & rail. THAT is so I and Hubby can see them at night, and for the Missionaries to NOT trip on the ramp or stairs. If I could find Thanksgiving colored lights - I would put them up a week before Thanksgiving along with a filled cornucopia AND a large turkey. After Christmas, I will be on the lookout for a lighted manger scene to buy for next year. Preferably one to place smack in the middle of the house, between the two picture windows, and small twinkling lights to frame the inside of my windows. After several decades of being a real Scrooge - Bah Humbug and all - think it just may be time to slowly get back into CHRISTmas. Quote
NeuroTypical Posted December 17, 2017 Report Posted December 17, 2017 I got my lights up early. Like, in 2012. Close enough. zil 1 Quote

Sometimes I run a string along the front porch railing. I like this look and the blinds are usually open which is where our Christmas tree is located. Quote
