agreed........the only thing that bothers me about Huckabee is that tax increase he gave the state of Arkansas.....other than that I like him alot.

What is Potsum?? Is it like Milo/Ovaltine(choc based drink) or more like Caro (bitter root drink that some use as substitute for Coffee)? Or heaven forbid Bonox!

Do Salt Lake City hotels have non coffee/tea supplied for us non drinkers of foul tasting brews? (It is one of my bug bears that hotels only supply coffee/tea as the standard hot drinks.)

The poster was someone who posted earlier that he does not believe that Mormons will get into heaven. Then he posts "contradictions" in this thread. From what I read, Ben's comments were not offensive in anyway. He was informing the poster of the rules here, and wanted him to reply as to his intent. Bro.Dorsey's response, I thought, was well articulated, but it also was a little sarcastic. And then the lack of response from the OP is a little concerning. If the poster was sincere in his questions, why did he start a thread insulting us by saying we're not getting into heaven, then not respond to either of his threads? It seems a lot likethe old "throw-a-bunch-of-questions-and-leave" tactic that some anti-mormon groups use.

I agree 100%. I have stayed at many a Marriott, and thought that at least THEY'D have hot chocolate or herbal tea or something other than coffee!

Surely you have been on boards long enough to know that when someone starts off with a negative comment they aren't looking to be converted. If they were, they'd have spoken with the missionaries first to get some answers, not go about it in a 'here is where I think you all are wrong' and then not coming back to say anything. If he were sincere, he'd have come back with something like 'no, really, I'm curious, etc' which has happened on this board before. When they come in and do a seagull manager bit (you know, come in, crap all over everything and then leave) it is 99.9% certain they were trolls getting their jollies by taunting us horn growin' Mormons...

I too do not think the OP was truly interested in answers. He may have sincerely thought though that his questions/observations were clever. Even for non-LDS, these type of posters get boring (been there/read that).

Postum is a wood-grain beverage that roughly (very very roughly) mimics the aromatic and blessed flavor of java (NOTE: Faithful LDS are strongly discouraged from meditating on my own ruminations about this particular drink).

I stayed at the LAX Marriott recently, and they had herbal tea in addition to coffee in my room. I just used the coffee maker to brew my herbal tea for me. No one else has ever had herbal tea in their room?

I occasionally find herbal teas but never hot chocolate but very few hotels I've stayed at in Australia have had non caffene alternatives. (I personally don't have a faith reason not to drink tea/coffee it is just a personal choice thing.)

Before I became a convert to the church I loved my coffee....nothing like a hot cup of gormet java with a little sugar and maybe some cafe mocha french vinilla cream....YUM.....I drank a ton of that everyday...and since I stopped my heart murmur went away. Anyway, after joining the church and giving up coffee I tried Postum.......it was the most discusting tasting garbage I ever sipped...nothing like coffee at all. I have a feeling some really nice Mormon fellows once said "hey lets come up with a hot beverage drink to replace coffe to help the converts"! Trouble is they had no idea what coffee tastes like! LOL!
