Right now, I am a junior in high school, and I have been addicted to pornography and other things that come with that for four years. I never had an affair with someone, though. Can someone give me advice on what to do? Will I still be able to serve a mission in the future if I repent? Could I still go to the temple? Right now, I try to stay active, and try to resist the temptation. I am WANTING to change. If some is or has been a bishop, can you tell me what might happen and how I can change?

Welcome, @Lan!

Go see your bishop!  He has the keys to help you in ways we cannot.  Please trust me on this.  Forget embarrassment and fear.  Don't think about it or delay.  Just go see your bishop.  He can help you to repent and learn the things that will help you overcome.

As to what will happen, that can vary, but even if you don't go to the temple for a while, through repentance, you can become worthy to attend the temple again.  I don't know about a mission.  What I do know, is that your bishop is there to lovingly help you in your efforts to overcome and his keys aid him and you in that process.

Please note that any instinct to hide your addiction comes from Satan, not God.  God wants you to come to him.  Talking to your bishop and parents will help you defy Satan (who wants you to feel alone and ashamed and to keep it to yourself).  Defying Satan is one of the ways we overcome him.  Coming to Christ is even better.

Hope that helps.

Hey Lan, one thing to keep in mind, is the stuff you have to confess and talk about, won't be new to your bishop.  His job is to work through stuff like this with people, and if he's been bishop for any length of time, he's already worked through something similar with someone else.  You won't be telling him anything he hasn't already heard from another member with similar struggles.   Depending on when your appointment is, it might not be the first time he's heard it that week.

Some great thoughts shared already and I will add that it's not just about what you don't do, it's what you do instead. Increase your scripture study and prayer time, memorize hymns to repeat to yourself as needed, read conference talks, etc - basically immerse yourself in good things. Pulling out the weeds is great but planting flowers in their place helps keep the weeds away.
