  1. He enjoys the results of it - That entire nations do not dwindle in disbelief. Saying that he enjoys the act is akin to telling a cancer sufferer they must enjoy having chemotherapy as they think the chemotherapy is good.
  2. A good tree can be sick. When it is, it becomes a bad tree and can(And often will) bring forth bad fruit, just like any diseased tree. At first, you might see rot on a single branch that destroys that fruit. Leave the rot alone and it spreads, devouring the whole of the tree. Think of the atonement as a tree surgeon. For the tree, it might be a painful process to lose that part that is making it die(Spiritually), but it helps the tree to grow strong again. When the tree is good, it will bring forth good fruit. When the tree is bad, it will bring forth bad fruit. If you are poisoned by hate, malice, greed, lust, envy, pride or sloth, while you are poisoned by that all your fruit will be tainted to a greater or lesser extent.
  3. I'm not a socialist. That was a quote by A-Train that I kept for posterity. For some reason, it doesn't say his name any more as being the one I quoted. A-Train stopped logging in a long time ago, so I could probably change it... But, who didn't love that awesome socialist dude?
  4. I confess... I wanted to say that vegetables are the thing that food eats, but I have recently realized that I just made terrible salads. Dill! Pea shoots! Delicious, non-lettuce/tomato combinations! As long as it isn't just lettuce/spinach/leafy greens and tomatos, it's all good.
  5. I suffered from generalized anxiety for years. Then, I started taking sweet, sweet Citalopram. My crazy pills are amazing. They make me not so crazy.
  6. Don't believe the hype! PC is here for one reason and one reason only: He's a glutton for punishment. And he's like, "That FunkyTown is a handsome dude. If I log in here, some of his handsomeness might rub off on me." So for two reasons and two reasons only.
  7. Romney's performance in the debates wasn't the issue. He won those(One handily, one rather well), but it was the character assassination that really cost him the election. They turned a non-drinking, non-smoking, non-partying, competent administrator in to nature's greatest monster.
  8. This had a control in place, a methodology for disproving it and could not adequately be explained by cold reading.
  9. I understand what you're saying, but... If even one person can be verified to have created memories during the time period in which no brain activity was had, then it means that brain activity is not the be-all and end-all of human experience. In this case, having only 2% of people reporting clear symptoms isn't the most exciting thing about it. It was the one person who was able to identify environmental items that only occurred when they had no lifesigns or brain activity. Merely seeing things could have been a hallucination. Proven recall of events that should have been impossible is far more interesting and needs more investigation.
  10. BY FAITH YOUR FACE WAS CREATED. <--- checks to make sure his statement is factually correct and, satisfied, leaves it there.
  11. People didn't talk about pain, though. There were quite a lot of people who talked about fear and the feeling of being persecuted. Spirit prison is not a place I wanna go. I'll tell you that much. What's interesting is that they now have (tentative, until the experiment is reproduced) proof that humanity can create memories AND observe the external world despite absolutely no activity in the brain. THey can prove this because of the man who was able to identify the control audible that took place several minutes after death. They were able to prove that he had consciousness 3 minutes after death at least. HOW AMAZING IS THAT. I was so excited by the findings.
  12. If you want to know if people in the LDS community agree violence against those who mock or criticize religion, look at the huge backlash against the South Park creators. Obviously, they're still walking around. Matt Parker and Trey Stone have not been shot despite writing 'The Book of Mormon: The Musical'. In the end, God wins. Their mocking doesn't mean anything.
  13. (For formatting. The formatting doesn't work for some reason on this unless I quote)
  14. Of course you weren't. You're a 12 year old, pimply faced Latvian boy.
  15. Someone disagrees with my opinion on the internet? THAT'S UNPOSSIBLE.
  16. GAH! NO! Romney needs to go back to being Governor Romney, the centrist technocratic problem-solver. I loved Governor Romney. Governor Romney got things done. There is some truth to the accusation that Romney seems to portray himself as different people, but Governor Romney was amazing. D'oh. I really like Romney, but he really needed to frame things a specific way to win the primary. He shouldn't have had to because Primaries Romney lost Election Romney the election. Governor Romney should've walked away with the election, but bad people in the media and Primaries Romney alienated a lot of people.
  17. I'm wholly on 2RM's side on this one: Anybody who would hide in the middle of a bunch of innocent people, planning acts of terror is a monster. Collateral damage is terrible. If violent radicals would only leave behind their human shields and all gather in a single spot in the desert, that issue would be resolved. 2RM: You are one hundred percent right. Those people are very bad. So is the guy who decided that some media outlet being a jerk is an acceptable reason for a shooting spree.
  18. I confess... I secretly find joy when certain members of the ward get up to give their testimony, even as I desperately hope no investigators are there. "I would like to bear my testimony that I know the Work and the Glory is true." "I would like to bear my testimony that I know sister X should want to date me." "I would like to bear my testimony that I know you are not being very good members." The crazier the testimony, the better I feel about my own failings.
