  1. So, if I can more succinctly know your thesis: You believe that the only universal truth we can know is that there is no way we can know any universal truth? If I'm incorrect, please feel free to correct me.
  2. Ah, but that isn't the point. How will you, specifically, and not you in the general sense know? Mormongator believes he knows, how will you know?
  3. Let's start with the very basics, then: How will you know that you know the essence of right when it is presented? Will it be logic? A 'feeling' of truth? Some third thing?
  4. ... What? So they've been barred, not because of a failure of teaching or because of a measurable and verifiable act of harm, but because of values? Well, that sucks.
  5. Thank you for this, but I asked the OP what - specifically - she did that made him feel she was having an emotional affair. I hadn't said emotional affairs weren't bad. I wanted to know what she did that made him feel she was having one. There is a difference between being friendly with someone and having a high level of non-sexual emotional intimacy. And that difference is very big. There are two possibilities here: 1) She is having an emotional affair. 2) The OP just thinks she's having an emotional affair. The gulf in what he should do depending on what those two are is huge and without knowing what specifically made him think that, it is impossible to provide real and genuine advice. But thank you for the for the reading on how emotional affairs are bad.
  6. Can you describe the emotional affair? Was she lying in his arms, confessing her deep and abiding fears to him? Was she joking and laughing more with him than you? What is it that she did - Specifically(That is very important) - That makes you feel betrayed? Why do you think it came to that?
  7. Hahah! I got 30%. Which put me at 80%, 92%, 88% and 30%. However, all I did was just challenged the grade and it got sent to somebody who doesn't like Identity Politics: Ruth Mieschbuhler at the University of Derby. She actually is in the middle of a massive fight with Birmingham university over this very thing.
  8. Jordan Peterson is good. I'm a bit more data driven than him while he tends to concentrate on Jungian archetypes, but we agree on the badness of identity politics. In fact, one of the feedbacks I got on an essay I wrote for a class "Inequality in Education: A study in gender, race and ethnicity" was "If you're going to call the topic of the module garbage and attack the beliefs of the professor who will be marking you, it's generally better to do that in the last paragraph than the first paragraph". Check out the essay(With apologies for the few minor referencing issues I had. It's an old copy on here). ClassGenderRaceEducation.docx
  9. Well, I went back to school to become a teacher. I'm currently at the University of Derby finishing my double major in Data Analytics and Education where I will then be able to teach. You will be happy to know that I didn't stop commenting on politics and spoke at a symposium in Derby, giving a talk on the importance of free speech in education, how we came to be at our current situation and why the current ideological war is important. AND I GET TO PICK ACADEMIC FIGHTS! WOO!
  10. https://www.topuniversities.com/student-info/student-finance/how-much-does-it-cost-study-germany Here's something you might not be aware of: Germany offers free schooling for international students(And local students) as a cultural exchange. They do degrees - Taught in English, if you want - that you could go to and finish. All you need to do is save enough money to be able to go there and live while you complete your degree. You do not have to be an EU citizen. This is open to Canadians and Americans as well. And it's cheaper than attending Uni in your own country. Maybe you were supposed to study abroad?
  11. So... Why do you have a 2 after your name, Ana?
  12. I did hear that Gandalf the Grey and Gandalf the white, Monty Python and the Holy Grail's Black Knight, Benito Mussolini, the Blue Meanie, Cowboy Curtis and Jambi the Djinni all came out of nowhere -lightning fast- and they destroyed Chuck Norris.
  13. OH NO! The kids, no matter their training, cannot possibly be as fast as lightning. Lightning travels at about 750 miles per hour, while Usain Bold couldn't even break 30 miles per hour running. The toddlers... THE TODDLERS were capable of 750 miles per hour. Were all my beliefs founded on LIES? We all know. EVERYBODY was Kung Fu Fighting AND their kicks were "fast as lightning". One thing is certain - It WAS a little bit frightening. After all, if their kicks were approaching and exceeding the speed of sound, we should all be terrified.
  14. Terminology? It -was- Catburgology. I just sneezed at the same time and it came out "ESCHATology".
  15. I have been kept awake at night for the last few weeks, driven by a single thought. It is an existential crisis thought that calls in to being some of my most cherished beliefs as I question the very fabric of my assumptions. I assume everyone has faced this at some point, asking the same question as I have - Over, and over, in my head. Surely... SURELY... Not EVERYBODY was Kung-Fu Fighting.
  16. JAG is right. Whoever received that photo is in possession of child pornography. If they solicited it, they have committed another crime. The police should be involved and someone should, and will probably, be arrested.
  17. Have you considered books like 'As a thief in the night' by Robert Young? If you're going to be reading books that engage in Eschatology, they may as well be documents that do less of the Homer Simpson-esque date gerrymandering and more actual examinations of scripture and prophetic words.
  18. You don't know, JAG! I have reported your post for being -awesome-. Wait... That's how the reporting function works, right?
  19. Have you considered asking your bishop? Ultimately, nobody is going to tell you you can't - You made a commitment and you have to decide the best way to live that commitment. Ultimately, none of us can tell you how to live up to the covenants you made or where you're at with those. Hope it helps.
  20. Yeah. Don't be ashamed of getting medicine. If you broke your leg, you wouldn't refuse to get it set because you were afraid that the cast would slow you down.
  21. Mine says I was too lazy to find out how to put up an avatar when they changed the system. Ah, swet, sweet laziness.
  22. Hunh. That's a real shame. The 5th estate's job is to investigate and provide transparency. If the media doesn't report the truth, how can people make intelligent decisions? In Germany, the media took about 3 days to report on this. This caused a full-on flip out. The mayor also suggested women needed to keep all men at arms length to protect themselves, which caused a huge amount of anger. It was victim blaming and unhelpful. Kudos to the New York Times, by the way, who actually did report this story.
  23. Obviously, after a roving band of 1000 men sexually assaulted and robbed women in Cologne, there has been a lot of discussion in Europe about the undercurrent of rage building at the moment. Are the mainstream media in the US discussing this at all? You have the 1000 man sex attack in Cologne. http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-germany-assaults-idUKKBN0UK1NQ20160106 (None of whom could speak English or German and very few were able to be identified by police). You have Denmark passing a law that allows them to remove valuables from refugees to help pay for their resettlement: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/refugee-crisis-denmark-government-defends-plan-to-strip-refugees-valuables-to-pay-for-their-stay-a6782916.html You have roving bands of vigilantes in Sweden: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2015/12/as_sweden_goes_so_goes_the_west.html And Greece: http://migrantreport.org/armed-vigilantes-attacking-migrant-boats-off-greece-hrw/ A friend of mine once said, "The Europeans are warm and friendly and giving until they are not. And then you have to watch out." You can see a real simmering anger going on in Europe right now. Is the US aware of just how upset Europe is getting? Is the mainstream media reporting it in the US? What are they saying?
  24. I disagree that 2015 was a normal year. It was the year Glamour's woman of the year had testicles, a popular movement was pushing segregation for equality and a city councilman in Baltimore was pushing his constituents to throw stones at police chasing criminals, leading to widescale abandonment of certain parts of the city to criminals and allowing the highest homicide rate per capita in the city's history. That ain't normal. The first two are Orwellian newspeak of the highest order and the last is the beginning of a dystopian novel.
  25. Actually, they demanded from the Headmaster that Black-Only spaces be provided by the school. That is - Spaces designated only for blacks. That's direct institutionalized racism. This request was also made in Portland to the local government by Black Lives Matter. It's segregation. Enforced segregation.
