The problem is there is a history in places like this, a history of voter suppression and intimidation where such laws were necessary. Are 40 years long enough that such policies are not needed? Is there still gerrymandering? Is there voter apathy from people who should know better? Is there 'discouragement' to vote? This isn't such an easy problem to solve.

What I want is a system where the insurance companies can go and do whatever with their own customers, but those who cannot get insurance through the companies will get some sort of coverage through the gov't. It seems very 'dog in the manger' of insurance companies to be crying over all those people getting gov't insurance when they wouldn't cover them in the first place! As for your tax dollars covering them, let's look at it this way. Your tax dollars can go for things like military and roads and forest service, and mine and those of us who like the idea of universal coverage will support those who need the gov't. No one is being forced to pay for something they don't want. Easy, right?

OMGOSH it's like an opposite Idaho!!!! Here you can't get elected unless you have the little 'r' behind your name. Totally true story, a few years ago the incumbent Minidoka county prosecutor decided that justice is blind and so she was going to run as Independent. The local Republican party officials carpetbagged some guy just out of law school from Pocatello to Minidoka just in time for him to get his residency, slapped an 'r' behind his name, and he killed the formerly praiseworthy incumbent by a landslide.

I don't know how I missed this article French troops were killed after Italy hushed up bribes to Taleban - Times Online How awful! I do like to make fun of the French, but I would never disrespect those serving in a war zone. What happened was... Wanna bet a few commanders in Italy are going to have a lot of explaining to do?

Will's suggestion is good in a way, because those girls can be just awesome. There's a lot to be said for a sweet spirit. But if you go about it exactly like he said then you pretty much get what you deserve. BTW I was never asked out when I went to the single's ward. Never ever for 4 solid years. Seriously questioning my level of attractiveness when I met my daughter's dad who totally fell for me. It'll happen to you, and when it does it'll be worth it

Maybe you think that because your fellow saints are all perfect and stuff they don't have carnal desires for their spouses? I'm not joking (seriously!) because I have a few cousins born in the Church who fall into that category. If so, I advise you to relax a bit, maybe talk it over with some good LDS friends (visiting teachers maybe?) and contemplate why LDS families usually are really really big

Your left or the picture left? Cause if it's your left then you're acting pretty chummy with the one on the right.... Good luck! You don't have to worry about taking it slow because by the time you or she gets spouse or fiance visas you should know each other pretty good, gov't being what it is in any nation

Oh. Wow. And you lived? It's the 5 stomachs isn't it? And I agree with the darkish hot dogs, yum! But then again when toasting marshmallows I let mine catch on fire, eat what was burned, then do the same with the middle My worst food experience was when my ex husband made chili. It was not any chili I had ever experienced and thanks to morning sickness never had to experience again

Kathysmike, your son needs to know he can count on you. That should be your number one concern. Make sure he knows you have his back because it doesn't seem like any one else does.

That's similar to why I don't buy anything from Starbucks, but my reasoning is I don't want to support something that has the gross income of a small Eastern European country and pays their people under $10/hr. But that's a whole other topic
