As a missionary in England it was always tough trying to tract when Coronation Street was on....and Top of the Pops............ If and when I have time.....I love to watch stuff on ESPN.....and reruns of the Home Improvement and The Cosby Show and All in the Family...........

Not sure if I can help here......the first Dedication of the Temple is always set aside for dignataries and other Church leaders.....then throughout the week there will be several other dedications of the Temple....if my memory serves me correct this was how it was done here St.Louis.

I just did a lot of searching the internet for new stories about this and could find nothing about this 'outcry' from other denominations. Not saying it doesn't exist, but can you point me to a link? And can they really not allow him to run? I think the issue is whether or not a majority of people in the US would vote for an LDS president. Shanstress......there are some articles out there and the next time I find one or remember where I found the others I will let you know.....so you can read them also..... Thanks for the PM, Palerider. I did see tons of info on Romney running for pres. What I don't find is info about people from other denominations trying to stop him from running. They may be unhappy about it, but they can't stop him from running. That was my point. Referring to this part of LDSEngineer's post: " there is a large out-cry to not allow him to run for president or some such thing from some of our friends in "other denominations"." I was not aware of someone trying to prevent him.....I was sharing info in regards to some not voting for him due to his religion....

Our church here is given a certain amount of money each year......we tell everyone in Ward council what the amount is and ask them to let us know what they think they will need to operate from for the year...we also remind them to remember that this money is the Lord's and its sacred(my opinion). They tell us what they need and they have it to do what they feel is best for their area of responsibility.....in our Ward council which meets twice a month...we discuss alot of issues in there and the Sisters play a very large part in that meeting. This is where we solve problems and plan events etc for our Ward. If this isn't right then I have been doing this all wrong for a very very long time.......

When you read the Bible Dictionary it mentions that Luke offers his readers a more polished account of the ministry of Jesus. He dwells extensively on Jesus teachings and his doings. Another interesting fact about Luke....he gives more stories involving women than do the other records....also his main purpose was to emphasize the Divine nature of Jesus as the only Begotten Son of God in the flesh.

My opinion........I think we all need to eat some ice cream and chill out......if you don't have any ice cream perhaps look in the Mirror before attacking...........

We would always let our kids look at books or color after the Sacrament was blessed and passed....you just mentioned a great teaching method and that is.....children will do what they see their parents do....

I prayed and asked about it......you too can know if you pray.......

I know that Joseph Smith is and was a Prophet of God......he restored Christ Church to the earth...

Shantress .....I don't always agree with everything you say in here......but I am with you on this......and he has done this more than once......something like 6-8 times.....I am also counting the other times he has done this in other rooms

I encourage all Parents with small children to give their children the Sacrament.....its a teaching opportunity......even at the age of 3yrs.......
