I am not here to judge your choices because at the end of the day, it is your life and your body but please allow me to say one thing. This issue has nothing to do with garments. If you would like me to expand, please let me know.

Well, no one is perfect.

You are the kind that "babysit" your own kids, don't you?

The thing is...contrary to popular belief...no one is 100% of a particular race/ethnicity no matter how "Asian" "White" or "Black" they might look like.

Can't stop thinking about a sister in my ward.

But this isn't just innocent teasing/joking...the OP is sexually fantasizing with this sister in question therefore, having his wife involved is well..a little...disturbing IMHO. -
Hey Gator, what do you mean? Freedom of speech is in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

"I considered law school and I could have gotten in anywhere I wanted..." "Really? Awww, afraid of the bar exam?" Psychologically speaking, this guy sounds very insecure. It seems to me that he really wanted to be a lawyer and he regrets it. I don't buy the rest. People tend to say things like that to rationalize choices they wish they didn't take in order to feel better about themselves.

IF the person insists....My motto for uncomfortable questions is..."Just because someone asks a question, doesn't mean I am bound to answer." Silence works like a charm. So yes, this is the face I put to let someone know I don't like what they are asking:

Pam, do you mind sharing where did you get this and the cost? I saw several web sites offering it.

My motto is "less is more". I am a sort of a minimalist and practical, I am happy that way. I am not into shelves with lots of little decorations etc, it drives me nuts. I like to see rooms clean and clear.

Who thinks the Word of Wisdom needs updating?

Coke is horrible but Diet Coke I am pretty sure was invented by the devil himself. -

LOVE strawberries...I mean LOVE strawberries. Did I say I LOVE strawberries???!?!!

It's interesting that you mention this because when I turned vegetarian the first time (before going vegan), I was going crazy over these bechamel sauces without realizing how unhealthy (and yes fattening) they are. Generally speaking, I think people think that just because something has veggies is suddenly "healthy". A green salad is great but if we start adding bacon, ranch dressing, parmesan cheese etc, it defeats the purpose of eating the salad IF we are eating for health reasons.

I owe $15,000 in tithing, Can I pay it elsewhere?
Suzie replied to danny1042's topic in Advice Board
No need to explain yourself because as you say, we each have our own opinion. But I admit, as a fellow Latter-Day Saint it saddened me to read your "If you're looking for someone to compliment you for your "charitable-like" ideas and thoughts, you won't find much of that here". If no one can see the irony of the statement and the fact that this is an LDS forum then I don't know what to tell you. All the best. -

That's really sad. -

We learn in psychology that behind anger, there is always hurt. I want to believe if I am hurt, people would try to treat me with kindness. -
Reasons for Waiting to Have Children

@estradling75 In the past, the Church used to send missionaries with autism to full time missions, particularly those with high-functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome. I don't think it is that common anymore, I can only assume the Church has modified some of the requirements due to the challenges associated with autism in the mission field. Even though there is a lot of routine involved, the constant changes in areas and different types of companions, etc can make things quite challenging for someone on the spectrum. I know a couple of young men with autism who did serve a mission but they did not disclose their medical condition to Church leaders. Not sure if the Church evaluates case by case. Serving a mission is indeed a blessing and I am sure your son will do great regardless where he serves or the type of mission. All the best.

I think it is honorable the fact that you are seeking to help the poor and needy. Indeed, there are millions of people in remote villages without access to clean water who would benefit greatly if they get a pump, it will be life-saving! Having said that, I do not believe the Church will see it as tithing (but again, it doesn't seem like you care what they think?). Certainly, I don't see it as tithing. I see it as donating your money towards a truly admirable cause that could benefit lots of people. -
@utterlyineffable I believe you should seek (again) the help of a qualified therapist that can help you deal with your anxiety-related issues, personally (and with very little information) I think the challenges you're having based on your background are not necessarily religious in nature but due to your anxiety.

@LiterateParakeet They were normal to me. But more you eat them, more you will learn to love them ! I promise.
