  1. People that drive like a spaz. They are not capable of taking off at a normal steady gradual speed, no matter if it's 50 miles or 50 inches to thier next stop they STOMP the gas...and THEN no matter if they have 20 miles to decelerate and come to a gradual stop, oh no, they wait until they are two feet from the stop sign/red light and SLAM on the brakes throwing you into the windshield. A 15 minute ride with these type people and you're in the EC with whiplash, cuts and bruises from your head hitting the dash... but they have no clue they have driving issues. None, and get REALLY mad when you say something about it. Maybe spaz is not the right term, psychopath may fit better.
  2. Pam, you missed something about the Dr's appointment. All that wait to see a Dr.... and all they actually have to see you is a PA, BUT... you get the bill later and they've charged you for being seen by the "real" Dr. Ah.... EXCUUUUUSE MEEEE!!!! If I'm payin the REAL Dr rates... I'm GETTIN a REAL Dr to see me and he's NOT just walkin in sayin 4-5 words and poof he's gone. At LEAST put that cold little thingy on my chest and ACT like you're checking to see if my hearts still beating. SHEESH!!!!! What.. $75-$80 a pop! I've gotten better service from my local vet. Think I'll start going to him when I'm sick.
  3. Hordak, I didn't realize there was such a thing as a "native" Floridian. Can you give me an apprx total? I love many of these already posted especially the stupid phone calls. I am usually real good at being able to handle crazy things people say and do but some times they say the stupidest things and it's like my mind just snaps, my brain no longer has control of my mouth and WHAM! I reply in the blink of an eye something that is at least twice as stupid as what they said because....NO ONE OUT STUPIDS ME!!!! I am the MASTER OF STUPID!!!! DON'T TRY IT!!! I am proud to say we house here in rural south Ga the most stupid humans on Earth. If anyone wishes to compete maybe we could coordinate a 2010 Stupid Olympics and my money will be on any and all from my area.
  4. I agree with Bobby Boucher's Mom, (movie Waterboy) dat rock music is de debil! dat rock music and dem women..ALL WOMEN.. DEYS DE DEBIL I TELL YAS!!!!! Just kiddin as I'm sure you all realize. I was raised deep southern Baptist in a tiny church, Tabernacle Baptist Church where them loud guitars and boom boom drums were not EVEN talked about. The small choir and at MOST the piano played by our fragile local librarian sweet lady in her mid 80's. My granny didn't even believe churches should have a kitchen and voiced her opinion to anyone who tried to bring it up. Yeah, you could bring and have a "covered dish" service on the grounds but that's it! The days of those good old small churches seem to be about over. It's sad in a way. Not that I would go there because now the needs of my family demand more, first and formost being sermons preached directly from the Bible, then Bible study and/or Sunday school that both my wife and I and our teenage sons can attend and feel comfortable worshiping and learning along with several of our peers. Yes, we have a contemporary praise band but 99% of the songs they choose to play are easy going, no grunge metal, and before, during and after songs they talk about how that particular song relates to certain scriptures and give those references as well as post them on the overhead. As long as the main focus when we attend church is and will always be to worship God and we fulfill that goal during the hour or so I'm good with it. I've visited a local church where music, and I must admit with very talented musicians, played and it was inspirational BUT IMHO it did not leave enough time left over for the preacher to be able to provide a full sermon or what I consider one. That takes a while as I would imagine some of the clergy on this forum would agree with. Also, as for that "screamo Christian" music, to me, for it to truly be considered "Christian" music the listener must be able to understand at least ONE single word, it would actually be nice to decypher a group of words during the song that referred in some way to God, Jesus or some religious idea but as hard as I've tried there are some of the songs my teenage sons listen to that I cannot hear that. Only top of the voice screaming and/or what the youth refer to as "pig squeel" music. Just my 75 cents. (inflation you know)

  7. AH MAN! And after all that sucking up I did. Oh well. Have fun Pam and he better he good to you or we're all comin after him!!!!!
  8. Dear love of my life Pam, Your blue eyebrows remind me of a beautiful spring day sky, and your dazzling white marshmellow cloud eyes just make my heart explode with joyful love, and that California 350 degree oven tan you have....oh.. I just.. heart, please slow down..... I'm an old man and can't take much more... :)
  9. I think it's all a conspiracy. They purposely put way too much salt on the popcorn which after two handfulls makes your mouth draw up sending subliminal survival messages to your brain saying you'll die within seconds if you don't go buy a $10 super large sprite, which comes with free refills, which is really done just to get you BACK at the counter again which by then causes your sweet tooth to flare in order to put out the fire of 3 pounds of salt and 2 gallons of carbonated soda. It's part physical and part mental reaction. They've done many years of research with this to get the science right and I do believe they've got it down now! I've got them beat though. Right before I leave the house for the movies I eat 2 tablespoons of salt, slam a two liter sprite and cram 2 medium bags of Skittles down my throat and I'm good for a normal 1 1/2 hour long movie. See, ya gotta be one step ahead of them crazy folks, you know?
  10. Can't sneak in snacks???? So I guess sneaking my camcorder in, filming the movie and selling the bootleg dvd's at the flea market is out of the question, huh? SHEESH! What's the world coming to??? Just kiddin folks. That has to be the ultimate robbery and as crazy as it sounds this is done and on a regular basis. I heard on the radio the new movie Avatar has broken a new record. It is the most bootlegged movie ever to date. Within a day or two after the movie hit the theater pirates had it uploaded to several bit turret websites and I think they said something like a half a million downloads had already been done. Talk about stealling. WOW!!!
  11. Jonathan, this is an awesome forum. Why? Because it openly invites any and everyone to come and share thier feelings and advice as long as it's done in a positive way and I think that is something mighty special. It appears that so far you have heard from LDS members, now I will share with you my feelings from the non-LDS view. My 19 yr old son is LDS. Joined the church about 1 1/2 years ago, was Baptized and is now about halfway through his 2yr mission in Suva Fiji. Myself and the rest of our family are non-LDS. At first we were scared to death. OH MY! Our son has been kipnapped by a cult!!! Then I go to the enternet for info..MISTAKE!!! Made it worse. What I then did was go visit our stake when my son invited me and I kept going back many times. What I found were a group of folks just like me. Some with issues like all of us, some that were the nicest folks I've ever met. What it taught me is that LDS members are humans just like me. They love thier God, the same God I love. They are very family oriented. They took my son and me in and treated us like thier very own family. I've had dinner at our Bishops house. They never once tied me up, duct taped my mouth and shaved my head like some of the crazy stories people have posted on the web. What they did is loved me for what I am. And they still do. Please don't give up or turn your back on your family. The reactions they may be showing are natural. It is fear of the unknown. They fear they will loose you forever. Assure them that won't happen. Love them like the others here suggested. Try to understand by putting yourself in thier shoes. How would you act or feel if you did not know the truth about LDS and your 15 yr old daughter or son took off with a van full of "those people". Try not to create and feed that "us and them" mentality. We are all God's children. You need your family and they need you very much and you also need your church. I am your proof that it is possible for one person in a family to be LDS and the rest not and everything be ok. I have many close friends now that are LDS. They to this day do not treat me bad because I'm not and they never will. The love they show and how they are "real", never trying to put on a fake face of any type attracts me and is why I consider myself an investigator. (Picked the right avatar pic-Jack Webb, LAPD) HA! But seriously keep moving forward with your faith. Talk to your family in a open comfortable way. If they refuse to talk about it at first hold back for a little while and wait till another time, just don't ever give up. Not in your faith or on your family. I would suggest praying before you try to talk to them for help with the right words and feelings. Who knows what Heavenly Father has in store for us all in the future??? God bless you.
  12. I've got a real good memory.........it's just not long.
  13. Thanks Pam, and if we are not sealed does that mean we will not be together in Heaven?
  14. Please explain what being "sealed" means. Is it something that just pertains to blood family members and if so do all members have to be of Mormom faith in order to be sealed? Thanks in advance for any and all guidance and replies.
  15. The saddest one I've seen is when the young couple had thier two young kids taken away because a delivery person reported them to child protection and they came with law enforcement and took them. The show never said if they were able to get them back. If this is a condition that a person has no control over that is so sad that the courts would break up the entire family and not pursue and/or provide some sort of resources or help before snatching the kids like that. I can't imagine the pain and horror the parents AND kids went through and may still be. I prayed asking Heavenly Father to bless that family. I don't know what more I can do.
  16. Thank you so much everyone. You have giving me a new outlook on this and now I realize the best thing to do is pray and wait and support her in every way I can. Showing much love and not leaving her side. She has said this is her issue and only she can work it out. It will take time and that she is trying very hard because she knows how much it hurts our relationship, her happiness and more importantly her relationship with Heavenly Father. I also realize that this issue may not be worked out totaly in this life time and true love like I feel Heavenly Father wishes us to have between husband and wife can sometimes mean giving up our selfish ideas or dreams of a perfect relationship here and by doing so He grants us many treasures and we learn lessons that can't be learned if this had not happened. I will continue my prayer for her and for myself and if/when she asks me to help, I will do all in my power. If she never does I will love her and stand by her. I just fear that as it is written, if she does not forgive the man in her past Heavenly Father may not forgive her when it is her time to go before Him. I pray that He has mercy on her soul and helps her to overcome this soon, not for me but for her. Thank you again brothers and sisters.
  17. Please, everyone. There has been something wrong in my marriage since day one and this June will make 9 yrs. I just found out yesterday that the biggest issue is.. my wife has not totally and completely forgiven a man in a past relationship for terrible things done to her, mentally. No sexual abuse or anything. Please give me any and all of the scripture, good reading materiel references, anything that covers the subject of forgiveness and how extremely important it is. She has not been happy for many years therefore I have not been happy. I realize I cannot do this for her but I can help by providing her all of the Biblical info and where she can read and obsorb it herself in the Bible. I am at a crossroads and refuse to pay for the pains another man has caused her much longer. She is my wife and I am not giving up or abandoning her unless I realize she refuses to let this go and truly forgives him so we can have a real relationship but more importantly, she can not in her current state have a real relationship with our Heavenly Father for it is written, "if we do not forgive others, He will not forgive us". That is my biggest fear for her. Please help. Thank you all in advance brothers and sisters. Any testimonies from anyone who has gone through something like this will also help. Anything and/or all things you can think of to help please pass it on to us.
  18. I love America. It's still the best place to be but there is one thing that I've noticed for many years folks in the "good ol USA" do especially the media and that is take some type of tragedy or terrible tramatic accident type situation and make a joke out of it at the expence of the grieving family/friends. As quick as a minute it's all over from SNL to local kindergarden kids repeating the joke. If only they knew or took the time to think about what doing this kind of thing does. It breeds bad stuff. There are many reasons people do it and I would imagine the majority is out of ignorance. Maybe I'm naive but I would like to think there aren't THAT many cold hearted people out there but, I've been wrong in the past. Christmas Shoes to me looking at it in a big picture way is one simple word, love. Maybe there are more people that we know that have issues with love. Being hurt in some way in the past. Something that causes them to not be able to see the big picture here. For all that love Christmas Shoes and for all that run to the bathroom and get physically sick every time they hear it I say this....I love you either way. :)
  19. Happy 23rd birthday Pam!!!!!! We love you!
  20. I agree LM. 100% It was just different than most bumper stickers I notice that usually have a little humor, or attempt to.
  21. I was Buster's stunt double on the shows that were too dangerous for him and that had stunts his contract did not cover. So, you recognized me! My cover's been blown.
  22. I saw a bumper sticker last week that was a little different. It said, "why do people kill people, who kill people, to show others that killing people...is wrong?"
  23. I love Myth Busters!!! They are insane..just like me. No I'm not..YES you ARE!!! No, I'm NOOOT!!! Oh..yes, clearly YOU ARE!!!! now QUIT. no, YOU quit!! NO! stop biting me!!!! YOU STOP BITING ME!!! AAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!! :0
  24. Ran man, you beat me to it!!!! I've got a perfectly good brain, rarely used..if ever. (my wife says) Last time I tried to use it I got into trouble so I decided it's best to just leave it in the noggin.
  25. Dirty socks in a microwave to clean them??? Did I really see someone post that? Please tell me you don't cook food in it right after you do your socks.... If I'm ever at your house for dinner remind me to only eat food cooked in your regular stove.
