  1. Deborahc, you have mail. Please check your inbox.
  2. I'm not going to go back and read 230 posts mainly because it's not a topic that particularly interests me, but I wasn't aware that there was a prohibition on women praying in Conference. If someone would be so kind as to provide a link to where that prohibition is stated in official church statements, I would appreciate it.
  3. Is this person calling it tithing? Perhaps they just want to give a portion of their wealth to the church and decided that 10% is a portion they are comfortable with giving. Personally, I think that setting aside percentages instead of actual monetary amounts of your estate is a pretty good idea. It seems to me it would be a lot easier to settle the estate equitably if everyone knows what portion they can expect to inherit.
  4. Fitness?!? She was talking about how her turbo caught fire in her neighbor's garage.
  5. Let me join this popularity contest to wish you a Happy Birthday.
  6. I cut all the legs at different lengths just to show my individuality.
  7. I built a sawhorse in mine. Okay, it was a kit, but I had to cut the boards and fit them into the holders all by myself.
  8. FTA: Tapper has no clue about how LDS Church leadership works, does he? It wouldn't have been too hard for him to actually run this bit past someone who is LDS and make appropriate corrections before writing that.
  9. And since all Priests and Melchizedek Priesthood holders also hold Teacher duties, they are responsible too.
  10. You're the one who brought it up, you tell me.
  11. Wow, 24 and your life is practically over. I hate to see you when you're really old, like 32 or 33.
  12. $140ish, for what? Fare? Cost per mile to construct? How much of that cost is subsidized? How does that cost compare as a percentage of the average income? How does it compare to the cost of owning a vehicle there? How affordable is it to the average Chinese working-class citizen?
  13. Well, when you become moderator we'll let you change the title to whatever you want.
  14. No, it would break if I put it in the seat of my pants...
  15. With lives, blood and trampled rights? And here I thought leftists cared about people.
  16. Yeah, it's so much easier to get things done when the peasants don't really have property rights. Or the right to live, for that matter.
  17. Because you don't trust them to be alone with your child? I'd trust a CCW permit holder with good common sense over the commie libs who usually get hired at schools these days.
  18. Yeah, if you put enough arcs together you get a full circle. But what happens if you get tired of running around in circles?
  19. I was listening to the news the other night and they were talking to a company here in Utah that offered to provide free firearms training and concealed-carry classes to any teacher who wished to obtain them. I didn't catch the name of the company though. There has never been any proposal to require teachers to have or possess a firearm. The proposal was for those teachers who wish to carry a firearm for which they already have a conceal-carry permit to be able to legally bring it to school. Of course, responsible use and storage would would need to be ensured, just as it would be anywhere else. As for parents who don't want their children exposed to a teacher who carries a concealed firearm, they could put their children in a classroom clearly marked as gun-free so that criminals would know where to go without facing any opposition to their bad intentions. I like the idea of criminals not knowing if their intended targets might be armed and willing to fight back. Declaring an area to be gun-free merely means it's a potentially risk-free area for criminals to enjoy little resistance.
  20. This reminds me of the lady I saw in Walmart a couple weeks ago. Large lady, large-chested, low-cut top. With a cell phone sticking straight up out of the middle of her boobs a good 2-3 inches. All I could think of was how classy that look is. I'll bet her friends were impressed at how creative she is.
  21. As has been discussed before, what you do to spice up your marriage is really none of our business as long as it doesn't involve animals or other adults or children.
  22. I would say that's a fair price for the job. Book time is 5.5 hours, and the part from Hyundai is over $90, plus they will likely need to add antifreeze. So depending on local shop rates, you're probably right in the neighborhood for the job. As for if you should change it, I would advise you to do it. Yes, it is a mile/time thing, but miles is a bigger wear factor than time. However, belts do crack over time with age, which is why they put the time factor in as well. I would do it to be safe. You don't want to see what happens if the belt breaks.
