  2. 60 rounds of .308 later, I am sore...but a good sore. :) (not to mention 300 or so rounds of 9mm, 200 or so .223). Happification complete.
  3. What makes me happy today, is packing for a trip that will include hundreds of rounds of 9mm, .223, .22 and .308 being expended over the weekend. :) Additional happiness is finding 200 rounds of .308 I do not remember buying.
  4. During prayer: "we are indeed grateful."
  5. At work I treat people with as much respect as they allow me. I try to do better then that on my own time.
  6. It sounds to me like there are family members that are continuing to punish him for his past actions.
  7. If you are concerned about his contact with your kids you really have two options that I feel are appropriate. You can not attend and keep your kids away, or you can be vigilant at the get together and act only if you see/hear/feel something is wrong/dangerous. If there is no active threat, I personally would go with the second option.
  8. I have some suggestions, but they are not very nice.
  9. A church leader once said to me in regards to music, "Do you listen to uplifting music?" I replied, "Uplifting to who, you or me?" Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is definitely music out there that is not uplifting in any way at all, but there is a lot of music that affects individuals differently. I've asked for certain songs to be played at my gravesite after all the ceremonies are concluded. The majority of that music will be by Rush.
  10. You can rape your marriage partner. Proving it may be difficult. No it isn't. Maybe in the particular case you cited, but I have convicted quite a few men and women over the years for DV. Usually when we run into problems with a case it is because the victim refuses to co-operate with the prosecution.
  11. Caught me off guard. If you happen to watch it, there is a scene where the male lead and a female from the village go down to a pool. Skip ahead a couple minutes. I'm usually pretty good about reading the back descriptions of movies to see if there is nudity. I did not do so on this one.
  12. Yep. I was the only white guy on a golf course crew of mixed Hispanics and Mexicans. Not all them were racist, but there were definitely some who were.
  13. Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters. Really good, except I had to skip past a nude scene.
  14. I'd choose Texas. They are more gun friendly, but that may not matter to you. Oregon is a beautiful state.
  15. I try to sleep (I work graveyards), but I usually end up at my second job, or doing something else that does not include sleeping. Sleep is over rated you know.
  16. The Expendables. It was okay. The 80's references were the best part. Saints and Soldiers Airborne Creed. Excellent movie.
  17. Band of Brothers Blackhawk Down Saving Private Ryan The Hobbit LOTR trilogy Terminator Raw Deal The Good The Bad and The Ugly A Fistful of Dollars For A Few Dollars More High Plains Drifter Outlaw Josey Wales Unforgiven The Sons Of Katie Elder The Empire Strikes Back Raiders Of The Lost Ark Just to name a few...
  18. This thread took off while I was gone... Getting back to you Jerome: We have several kids in our troop that no matter what the leaders say or do to control them...they do whatever they want the moment your back is turned. A rifle accompanied me on the last campout that one of these kids was at due to this fact and we were in camping in bear country. Leaders and parents have lectured this particular set of children no end on what is right and what is wrong. I am not a scout leader (thank you stake presidency for a stake calling or I would be a scout leader), but attend camps at times as an extra parent. This particular camp come morning I found stuff that had been left out...presumably by this same kid. Despite everything we did, this kid just did whatever he wanted. Like I said, we have several kids like this scattered across several scouting ages that cause non stop problems Self derail: Our scout leaders have earned their trip to the celestial kingdom dealing with them. Personally I'd probably be going to hell because I would not be particularly nice to thier parents in explaining that either they come and supervise thier kids or their kids are not welcome at scout campouts.
  19. Some news for you Bini. When juveniles commit crimes, THEY are held responsible and charged, NOT thier parents. From the non legal aspect, there are also kids who just do not care what thier leaders or adults tell them. When an adult does all that they are supposed to do you can not say that they are responsible when delinquent kids do stuff behind their backs. That is unreasonable.
  20. I did read your words carefully. I think you are sitting in parking lot behind left field.
  21. Yep, let the charges roll because we can count on a bunch of teenage scouts to think about such things so we should tell the adult leader to let the bear endanger the scouts. Brilliant. Been around teenage boys much lately? They are kind of short on...well...brains. I've camped in bear country a few times. Among other tools I have a .308 with me and if a bear puts my family and friends, or anyone near me in danger I will protect them. Good call on the scout leaders part.
  22. I am a conservative. I am not an Ann Coulter fan. I think you have just accurately described her.

  24. Of course it is okay. Why would anyone think it inappropriate?
  25. I deleted several comments about Germans and Germany...lol...
