I am deliberately leaving rape etc. out of this question as it is a completely different set of circumstances. Wasn't the choice made at the time sex occured without birth control? I don't understand LDS democrats who use this line of thinking. Perhaps you can clear it up for me.

Only if it is a legitimate upbrining. Lying about one's behavior to "look good" in the eyes of the court is still lying and unethical. Unethical people make poor parents, LDS or not.

Funny...a friend of mine just said the same thing when I posted this on facebook. I've learned over the years that small town law enforcement mentality is much different then larger cities. New officers are kind of funny too. This post was prompted by 10-15 under the limit night. It seemed like everyone ahead of me on single lane roads felt the need to drive reeeeaaaallllly slow.

We have a lady in our ward who married a two time widower. Her comment was that she would rather be a third wife to a good man then a first wife to a bad one. I just don't worry about this issue. Either we will practice it in the next life and be fine with it or we won't. It's God's decision on that not mine, and I'll go with whatever way He wants it.

High school, no. Early Jr. High yes. I punched out a few of those bullies and it eventually stopped. I guess they didn't like victimes who fought back. Unfortunately, while I did not become a bully in HS, I was quite the **** to kids who probably could be considered bullied.

I can take care of myself and my family for a rather extended period of time. I expect to have to do so in the not so distant future...and that you all will have to do so as well. If you haven't, you better get preparing now while there is still some time left.

I'm in the blunt category. Tell her she had the opportunity to name her children, and now it is you and your husbands turn. Tell her you love her, but it is time for her to stop. I had to put my foot down with my FIL on the name issue. I also tell my wife that our first son is named after the guitarist in Rush (he isn't really, though the name is the same). Ohhhh the look I get when I say that...heh heh heh.
