Uncommon occurrence.  Yes it happens, not often.

A few, never had a custodial abduction.  Trafficking is not just about abductions either.  Or children.

Part of the good fight, is the fight against ignorance.   Y'all ok in my book, LDSG.
You don't need to worry about getting human trafficked at Target.   You do need to worry if your daughter goes from a straight-A student to barely hitting Ds, seems withdrawn, and you find a cell phone in her room you didn't know she had.

I had heard things were brewing, but the Trib does the service of posting the actual complaint.  So, sorting through this thing, I'm learning more ways dudes will go to weird extremes to rub themselves on women.
The Couple's Ruse - "Hey random woman who supports the cause - I'm going undercover and need someone to pretend to be my wife.  No kissing on the lips, no touching or exposing private parts.  Bad guys will be suspicious, so we'll need to practice our tantric massages on each other to make sure we have chemistry and can fool them!  And when we're alone in our hotels, we still need to pretend because the bad guys may be spying on us.  And you're doing it to save children - whaddaya say?"
    And this little gem:

Aaaand, I stopped reading at item 90, because there's more and more and more.  The women allege that all of this constitutes grooming, coercion, and therefore assault.

Grooming primer every human who wants to think of themselves as a good informed human should read: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/head-games/202209/the-5-stages-predatory-sexual-grooming
Up until now, when I thought of grooming, I thought of predators and minors under the age of consent.  This is the first time I've seen it applied to consenting adults.  I mean, I get it, it's just new.  They used to call it 'gaslighting' or 'manipulation' or 'sleezy tactics from sleezy men', but ok.
Tell you what @Phoenix_person, I'm happy to think of what TB did as grooming, even potentially qualifying as assault or rape, if you're willing to read this article and think some long, hard thoughts about the endless instances of LGBTQ activists pushing drag shows and explicit books and transitioning-behind-parents'-backs to minors, in and out of school settings.
If it's wrong when Ballard does it to adult women, is it also wrong when LGBTQ folks do it to minors?

Mirkwood, there was an Unsolved Mysteries on the Gurdon Light in Arkansas.  I suggest you watch it.  I am posting the video below.   The video starts at 2:10 and goes until 13:10.  It is interesting to me and perhaps supernatural.

We could spend a lot of time on this site talking about the similarities between Christians--especially Evangelicals--and even more especially Pentecostals and LDS. There are many. We mostly share political views, chastity views, and worship of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We share a love for the Bible. Then again, there are many differences. It could be seen as a show of respect to admit such. I value your beliefs enough not to sweep them under a rug or to pretend they don't matter. As but one example, @Traveleroften responds to my posts by saying he respects me as a person but has serious disagreements with my content. To me, that is high regard. He values me enough to affirm character but also enough to engage with my ideas rather than diminish them.
Okay--some Christians are dense. Their manner of communication is clumsy, unnecessarily confrontation, and too often angry. Others may seem nice but come across as disingenuous. I sometimes wish we could just agree to disagree and focus on matters we admire. However, sometimes having respectful disagreements is more sincere.

People do a lot of foolish things--sometimes even evil ones--in the name of their God. Some of these have been Christians. Churches and individuals should want to align with truth. If a church or an individual believes that Jesus is God the Son, then would they not want to identify with the Christian faith?
Jews believe Jesus was a false prophet, so they would not call themselves Christians. Muslims believe that Jesus was a true prophet, but that God had no sons--that Jesus is not the Son of God. So, they do not call themselves Christians. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is a great prophet, a great teacher, and that he is God's son--but not equal to Jehovah--perhaps a god. So, they deride "Christendom," and want nothing to do with it.
LDS, while not trinitarian, do believe that Jesus is the Son of God. How closely the church wishes to align with the greater Christian movement remains an open question.

I wouldn't call it "Israel declares war".  I'd call it "Israel is under coordinated attack by Hamas, who has launched ~3000 missiles and conducted open insurgent attacks on multiple cities and areas all at once, with some reports claiming the insurgents have taken prisoners"
Recognizing that these actions mean you are in a state of war, is slightly different than Israel declaring war.

I hereby declare all speed limits below 60 mph null and void for Zil2 between the hours of 2:59 am – 3:00 am between the locations of Emigration Canyon and Point of the Mountain
Always happy to help a friend. Show this to @mirkwood next time he pulls you over.

I believe that much more goes into the “science” of public safety on our roads. Beginning with the design and layout of roadways.  Even the density of use and intersections can affect speed limit designs.  Sadly, we have learned that despite research and laws based on the design and use – we have learned that without enforcement (Thanks to  @mirkwood) of the law, most citizens that use the roads will break the law and endanger everybody and think they are intelligent enough to suffice and that everybody else that inconveniences them is stupid and foolish.
I would also note that this comes from someone that if driving at off hours (night for example) and comes upon a red traffic light – is unlikely to wait in zero traffic for the light to change.

I'm all in favor of better border security, but if someone can just declare various laws null and void (even temporarily), without congress or anything, just as a head of department, then either those laws ought to be revoked in their entirety, because they aren't really needed, or something is very very wrong.  (And I ought to be able to declare various speed limits null and void, for me, at least... )

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd put this here.  Keeping with the just-made-history atmosphere of the thread, and not-vilifying folks, I'd like to praise the Biden administration and his DHS secretary for building a bunch more wall on the southern border, despite Biden's "not another foot" campaign pledge.  It's nice to see the Biden administration stepping up to continue the important work of the Trump administration, and Obama administration before that, and probably further back than that.  And all it took was a hundred screams of anguish from Democrat Governors and Mayors across the country.

    Build baby build!

And just look at all those restrictive acts getting brushed aside!
