Does anyone have any ideas on how to share the gospel? I just read Everyday Missionary. I simultaneously want to give a copy to every member of the ward because it is so inspiring and round up every copy ever printed and set them alite because it so terrifying. Author says: 1) spread the gospel at work even though you are not supposed to. If you do not spread the gospel at work when will you because most of us live our lives at work. Being afraid of spreading the gospel at work in indirectly the wish of Satan to reduce number of converts. 2) Bring up the gospel in conversation. Eg. I had a great weekend, I went to the temple. or Went to a great fireside 3) When people ask if you are Mormon, which hopefully follows from 2) above, say "Yes why do you ask" instead of deluging them with info. Respond to their questions rather than what you assume that they want to know. 4) Ask the Affluent for help with church needs. The affluent want to help someone and have few needs. 5) Set deadlines for yourself and really be desparate to fulfill them. Yikes! The thought of trying to do this scares me. Any ideas? What are your thoughts?

I had this problem. I hung a lot of religious pictures in my home, temple, Savior etc. This really helped.

Have you returned to church after an absence? Why did you come back? I left the church for many years. I returned after taking a trip with a Mormon friend. He insisted that the church was true and reminded me that I once believed in the church. I thought about what he said and I wondered if the church was true. I prayed and asked to know if the church was true, I sincerely wanted to know, and suddenly I did know.

I have been a member of wards where we really hustled to get people in the building for any reason as a missionary tool.

Welcome! Are you from the tribe of Ephriam or a Levite? I had a Jewish convert friend who is a Levite. She mentioned that there were some special priesthood privileges for Levites but she may have been joking. welcome

The blind side

Many people in my area have moved to Utah. Lived there raised families. No one has ever moved back here.

I think pursuing additional knowledge outside the scriptures is fine ...if you are doing the basics eg homet/visiting teaching, reading scriptures, family home evening, calling, temple, genealogy etc but if you are not then pursuing mysteries is a distraction.

What are your plans for the millennium? I would like to be a vet specializing in large cats: tigers, lions, Cougars. I picture myself flossing the teeth of a tiger. As it will be a vegetarian, it might get vegetable fibres in its molars! Maybe after chewing on a cob of corn. I can hardly wait!

Interesting. A number of church members have complained to me that we have men with mistresses who are attending church. Some have gone to the bishop to complain and been told that the bishop can not interfere unless the man or his wife come to the bishop.

What is OD1? Weren't Mormon leaders in hiding to avoid being arrested for polygamy? Suggesting that they were breaking he law? I know that eventually we conformed but I have been told repeatedly that we broke the law for some time.

Now that I think of it, we broke the law of the land for awhile with respect to polygamy. So yes we will break the law.

I wonder if a church leader has addressed these issues. Clearly interesting times are ahead.

But as Mormon we are required to obey the law of the land. Surely we would not break the law?

I live in a cold climate. Many people wear long underwear. I wear them over my regular garments.

This last statement contains wise counsel for all of us. This would make a good talk!

Are there references that suggest we will preach in Isreal? Has a church leader commented on this?
